not saying much considering how big of a project Rudy was coming in. Ayton is further along that Embiid at this point as well might not mean anything in the end.

Whoa, I think that’s a huge reach to say that.

Mo Bamba – Rudy Golbert

Mo Bamba is a unique piece in this upcoming draft. As Gms and analysts are putting more emphasis on wingspan measurements, players like Mo Bamba have room to shine or crumble. With a standing reach of 9’8, Bamba can practically touch the rim without jumping. With length aside, Bamba is a decent athlete and runs the court fast. He rotates well on the defensive end and has a defensive presence that gets offensive players nervous. He also reportedly is working on his jumpshot with Joel Embiid’s trainer. I don’t think he will ever be on Embiiwid’s level, but still can develop into an important piece. He has flashes of greatness with freakish finishes, dominant rebounding, and unblockable hook shots. He also could bust due to average basketball i.q. and polish. The team that drafts him needs to give him a lot of playing time and patience in order to develop into a rim protector.

Mo Bamba posted a 3.04 3/4 court sprint

Context: Would have T-1 at Combine, faster than Zhaire Smith & Lonnie Walker

Also faster than:

Russell Westbrook: 3.08

D-Wade: 3.08

Harden: 3.13

John Wall: 3.14

Terry Rozier: 3.15

Kemba: 3.16

Oladipo: 3.25

Gobert: 3.57

Is there an official combine website we can actually see if this is factual?

I always thought that Bamba would be just an ok NBA player but nothing elite. For a while the internet really started to overhype the guy and I was just shaking my head.

Has all the Bamba hype already died down?

Why would it die down? Bamba is yet to play an NBA game and he didnt play bad at summer league. He is a project player with incredible potential and a high floor.

For the record. Summer league should not have so many of yall jumping out the window either way on these rookies.

It’s also not true. Physically his body is more ready, he’s a better rebounder and shooter, but that’s about it. Embiid was a much better post player, passer and defender.
