They talked about how Keels set the Duke bench press record. TyTy has the physique of a 16 year old boy. Not an easy game for him against this football player.

Like I said a month or so ago. This is actually a pretty damn good Duke team, especially if this is the kind of Moore that we finally get to see.

Good size and athleticism all throughout the lineup. They also have capable 3pt shooters as well. But I actually like the offense they’re running. I don’t think I’ve said that about a Duke team in I don’t know how many years.

Ya hard not seeing Banchero’s game translating to the next level. That skill set is pretty insane for a guy his size.

Is AJ really not gonna start this year?

That's a bit rough for the kid being mocked at a top 10 pick.

Honestly this wouldn’t be a game if it wasn’t for Tshiebwe. That dude has given UK so many extra possessions

AJ missed the majority of the summer with a injury. He originally wasn’t supposed to be even practicing by this game. So he is way ahead of schedule, but just started practicing about a week and a half ago. So he’s still catching up.

I’m thinking by the halfway point, he’ll be starting or getting starting minutes. They’re working him in slowly, he hasnt played organized basketball in two years, after all.

Tshiebwe has amazing rebounding abilities

Wish we seen more of AJ but I'm guessing he's still working himself back after the missed time.

22/7 while battling cramps for the majority of the 2nd half for Paolo. He also did it against legit competition. Couldn’t really ask for a better opening game for him.

Showed fantastic skill and fantastic touch on that shot.

really heady, knows exactly what to do with the bball in his hands, skills/size combo is obviously elite, no way he's not a good offensive player in the NBA...but defensively i think he's still in no man's land for me, not sure I see enough size/shot-blocking for him to play any real minutes at the 5, and not sure if the athleticism is there to be a 3 in any real capacity either. we'll see, but if he can play up a position at the 5 that'll completely unlock his potential for me.

Keels tho was the best player on the court tonight by a considerable margin, he was stupid good tonight, Lu Dortish with maybe even more ball skills.

Wow. Very impressed by Trevor Keels. I had Lu Dort as my comp but his ceiling could be Tyreke Evans/Harden. Felt so comfortable with the ball in his hand down the stretch. He should skyrocket up the draft boards over night.

Yup. Nothing from tonight’s game really showed what he will be defensively at the next level. Offensively the game clearly comes easy and natural to him.

One thing is, I don’t think we will get a good answer on what he can be defensively this season. This Duke team is pretty stacked on the defensive side. You got Williams and John manning the 5, both are really good defenders. Then you got Moore/Keels/AJ out on the perimeter.

Defensively he’s going to be pretty protected on that side of the ball. He’s not going to be asked to do much. So I think that’s going to be the big question of his going into the draft and we won’t have a good answer.

College ball needs to fix this stuff. Teams like Gonzaga and Memphis basically just had another exhibition game. You play those games as exhibition games, not on opening night of the year.

It was great when they came up with this Championship Classic. But that’s just 4 teams. They gotta really push for better quality opponents. Add in another conference vs conference thing or something.

Just take a look around the rest of the college ball landscape outside of the championship classic and the games are wack.

I’m guessing Banchero size isn’t a question anymore (never was dude is massive). Final form Ben, Cade on steroids, Pistons Griffin, Big bro Tatum all apt. He’s a 4 that roams on the outer on offense. Great skill for a person his size (did I mention he’s a big boy).

I’m sure he cramped up because that’s probably his first “real” pressure game at that conditioning. He slimmed down remember so he’s a pros pro.

Banch, Zion should have been in the NBA after high school. Physical imposing with skill.

Might be wrong on Chet not being a Demigod lol (still I like my comp) 7ft Prince body composition, more advanced Ingram (more fluid but less fluid than KD but taller obv) on one end, 7ft Zingis on the other (more advanced as well). Can see him easily being inside the top 10 NBA players in his prime.

And Keel is very draft-able. As meatballs go that’s a big one. Dort with more skill is such a good comp for him.

Pretty good day one for the top 1/2 prospects. Like to see more from Adrian Griffin Jr. but that will come. (Yes he looks bigger than 6”6 because he’s an absolute unit.)

Duke opened with Coppin State last year while Gonzaga opened with Kansas. Can we not run with this narrative for once.

Chet looked good. Didn’t realize he was a decent passer even though he forced things a little too much. Hard to take much from his defense with that level of competition.
