He's guaranteed to be a first round pick. It's just hard to quantify not picking a freshman in the first round, but freshmen that a lot assume are first round picks fall out of the first round all the time and the older guys get picked a lot higher than we assume. It depends on team-match a lot. Who thought Taurean Prince would have gone so high? What about Frank Kaminsky? Don't worry, Hart will be fine.

I'm growing interested in Hayden Dalton from Wyoming. Listed as 6'8, but he's definitely the size of Metu (who is 6'10). He's a junior who looks like he has good length, great motor, moves really well and he moves pretty well laterally. He's a pretty good passer and can shoot. He's just super skinny.

I also like Justin James from Wyoming. 6'7 sophomore, athletic.

Edit: Just finished USC-Wyoming (49 second left). Dalton is amazing. He's only played well recently, but he's playing amazing. Great passer, shooter, athletic, high motor, good blocking instincts and just a really smart player.

I feel like his only real knock is his wingspan which is short for a player his size if accurate. When watching him play his wingspan doesn't look overly short to me though.

if he was a consistent shooter he would be a 1st round guy for me even with the wingspan, but he needs to shoot it well and his mechanics are not there.

Andrew Jones is a fun name to drop too.

Some more sleepers:

I don't know about this year, but Michael Weathers from Miami (OH) looks good.

Jerome Robinson from Boston college looks like a legit NBA player. He isn't quick, but he's strong, is a great defender, shifty, finishes through contact, great hands and he can shoot 3s.

Baylor's Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. blocking an insane amount and putting up numbers.

I've overrated guys like Jo before, so I need to see more of him before jumping to a conclusion, but from what little I have seen of him, my initial impression from watching just highlights (which is a bad way to evaluate players) was he could be the wild card of the draft - like Thon Maker was of the 2016 draft. What will hurt him is the heart problem history and his age (23 before the 2017 draft). He's skinny but looks like he has the frame to add muscle. There is a shortage of rim protectors in the NBA. His 9'5.5 standing reach bodes well. Watch San Antonio steal him.

I brought him up a few pages back and some guy tried to bite my head off about his age. Either way, the guy has game. His heart has been cleared and he has the potential to be the rear 3+D stretch 4/5. I think a team like Toronto should take him and see what they get because he would be a perfect fit should he pan out, however it's not a big deal to spend a late first on him seeing as how the TOR as well as the LAC pick is available.

Can I reiterate that I love Caleb Swanigan? The weight loss has helped tremendously, active on his rotations, solid inside and midrange game, good passer, length. Been a fan of his since high school.

I will allow it even though it directly violates our rule prohibiting twice mentioning anyone named Caleb. I'd like him a lot more if he was a shot-blocker and didn't turn the ball over so much. If he shows significant improvement in either area, I'd call him a 1st rounder.

Has anyone mentioned Justin Patton from Creighton? I don't think he'll come out for the 2017 draft, but he's another big who seems to have come out of nowhere that appears to have talent.

Yeah I like him too, he moves well for his size and he can rebound, he is a clearcut 4 tho, so that doesnt help, I think he can be a version between PatPat and Sully, funny enough both are playing for the Raps, just with the upside wings represent, probably not enough to get picked in the 1st even if he is a solid NBA guy.

What's the take on Peter Jok as a 3D player?

weirdly enough not really, the depth of the draft is a bit untested, I am not solid on guys out of the top15-20 range as I was last year, still early to know who will declare, so it's a bit up in the air.

I mentioned Jeremy Morgan earlier and despite some ankle injuries (nothing series, just keeps rolling it) he's been super productive. Anchors his team's defense, shoots 3s well, generally being smart with the ball but obviously not totally comfortable with being a first option. He was born to be a 3 and D player like Danny Green.

This chart gives you an idea about his defense anyways.

He reminds me of Malcom Brogdon.

Yeah but Morgan is well-known around here I'd say, some guys had him top20 already, I guess he could be a sleeper in a more broader sense yup.

Jeremy Morgan is going to have to go to Portsmouth and hope to get into the NBA combine, to get more notice. Unfortunately, Northern Iowa lost a lot of talent last year and they aren't performing well in the MVC. It should be interesting who he signs with agent wise and who he ends up working out against.

Ben Lammers
Marcus Keene
Zach Smith

all three should get drafted and have high potential of being solid NBA players.

I still like issiac Hamilton from ucla. He is flying under the radar. But it a nice 3&D wing prospect.
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team
