love these vids not so much for the scouting but moreso for the insight they give into what kind of player you're getting mentally. Those that can explain what they're processing. those that can always reference coaching. those that can verbalize where the better decision was on their miscues. this kind of thing gives little glimpses that may be re-referenced and make sense as to why player A hasn't improved at the same rate player B might have despite what appeared to be clearer advantages.

Petrusev has a Vucevic skillset (maybe minus the floaters), but he's lighter and mobile enough to play some minutes at the 4.

That’s my actual comp nice one my man. Pre All Star Vucevic just with modern 3ball components.

There’s always a random Euro Big that plays for years in the NBA like every draft. It’s gotta be Filip. Legit range and fundamental as hell (great thing to have nothing sloppy about him offensively). His production was super impressive

Every time I watch Jalen Green I’m absolutely blown away. His combination of scoring skill and athleticism is something I’ve never seen from a draft prospect before. He’s an underrated passer too and I think he’ll be a good one with some seasoning. Right now he’s more of a one read on the help passer but he’s good at it. And the defense concerns are BS. Guys with his athleticism, feel, and dedication always end up between good and great on defense

I think everyone’s so hung up on trying to find the next Luka in Cade that they are passing up 1980s MJ in Jalen Green

I think he’s the best guard prospect I’ve ever seen

Detroit should ask for a ton from Houston and trade down.

I think they will draft Sengun with the pick. He complements JJJ very well.

Huh, that's not bad. The fit between JJJ and Sengun is really intriguing in theory.

Jalen Johnson supposedly “impressed” in recent workouts.

iirc wasn’t Jalen Johnson in the Top 5 in mocks before the college season started?

I know his stock has dropped a lot since then obviously. Several mocks I’ve seen have him as a late lottery pick (a couple even outside the lottery).

Which makes me think he could be a potential “sleeper”.

You can't be a sleeper being the RSCI #4 summer pre-senior year, #11 RSCI final prospect. After his first monstrous games in the NCAA, many were calling him the #1 pick.

A superb athlete at PF size with handles and skills to play point guard is gonna "wow" people in workouts. Had Duke been a bit better and him not quit on his team, he would be in the convo for a top 5 lock right now.

Perhaps sleeper wasn’t the right word, but definitely a steal if he falls outside the top 10 or lottery altogether.

^ lowest I’ve seen him so far at #19 overall. I doubt he drops that far though.

He’s also at #14 on nbatankathons mock draft.

#13 on cbs mock draft.

It seems that not many people talk about him much anymore. The hotter topic is players on the rise like Scottie Barnes who could be a Top 5 pick.

I agree and Weaver needs to go with his eyes, and not feel the pressure of the fans. Detroit fans don’t know talent, they wanted the Lions to take a mlb names Aaron Curry over Matt Stafford!

I like Jalen Johnson more than Kuminga and Barnes. I think in 2 years people are going to be wonder how the hell he went after those guys. He is a hell of a player.

yes to all of that. Jalen is a sleeper and on-court talentwise gives you a lot the same as anyone rated higher than him in the class playing his position. Just gotta draft him with a plan in place and provide a good structure for him.

of course JJ impressed in workouts, dude's ridiculous, should be a top 4 guy at worst if it wasn't for some of the immaturity stuff we talked about.

But if your looking for a star, you work out the immaturity. IMO you have to roll that dice.

if not for Moody I want the Dubs to grab him 7th.

He’s a top 5 prospect no doubt about it (better then Barnes imo). But red flags are red flags hence why the drop it’s definitely not because of lack of talent.

I agree. I understand why the Pistons have to take Cade. The fanbase will be furious if they select anyone else and they absolutely cannot risk another Darko incident. Not to mention he's an amazing prospect who would go #1 in most drafts anyway. But Jalen Green looks absolutely phenomenal. Just so much talent and upside. It wouldn't surprise me if he leads the league in scoring before his rookie deal is up. If he gets a green light from day 1 he'll be must see TV.

I mean, anyone who follows the draft won't be wondering about it at all. His off-court issues are no secret and we all know that's why he's not a top 7 lock which he would be if not for the issues. If he ends up succeeding it's because he's bucked the trend and managed to sort out those issues.
