they've pointed to his size or lack thereof as being an issue for the position he plays for a while now. they've knocked the Durant comparisons for a while now too. They've pointed those towards Brandon Ingram. I don't think they've been super high on him for a while now, no one can really question the potential he has but FACT is kiddo might be every bit bust potential wise as he is boom potential wise due to size.

They're still hanging on to the age thing as well.

Have caught some more of the fiba tournament. I guess it shouldnt be surprising most of the guys I like are highly ranked. Malik Newman is my favorite prospect, going to avg 20+ in the nba in a few years. Doesnt have good length for a combo guard but has a physical body that can take contact, close to elite athleticism, and can really score. Giles I still havent seen anything on offense from so its hard to,project there but on defense he is a beast. Good hands, reactions and is all over the court creating turnovers. Ellenson im hoping that shot comes along because he is a very good athlete for his size and skilled. Diamond Stone,I think if his body develops the way I imagine it coild he may wind up being a beast, kind of the opposite of Swanigan who needs to lose weight and get in better shape. I wasnt in love with any of the wings out there, Tatum, Jackson, King, Ferguson etc. Josh Jackson is really smooth and very atheltic and im sure has the highest upside of the wings but he seems like a tweener to me who doesnt do any one thing really well. Granted he is young and may grow physically and his game as well but he particularly stood out as being sloppy on the court. Also I still dont see, what makes Rabb potentially a number 1 pick.

yeah seems like Ivan has lost a lot of that steam with Ben Simmons still keeping his hype and Jaylen Brown gaining more by the day. I think he's still considered number one on some list though im not sure. I still love the kid's game but as of right now he's probably been surpassed by Brown as the top pro prospect in his class.

im hoping he can pack on a little more size cause the skill is there and i think he can be a good 4 i nthe league.

Josh Jackson had one real nice play where he juked a guy on the fast break followed by a behind the back pass around the next guy to the open man. Really was nice but for all his hype was hoping to see more out of him. He got blocked alot around the basket. Giles I didnt see anything from on offense besides dunks but defensively he was impressive. Malik Newman definitely isnt a point right now like its already been said but I dont think there is denying that he can really score. Tyler Fergerson has a nice Jumper. Want to see some more of VJ King, Henry Ellenson I wasnt in love with the shot. Swanigan is a big dude but dont love him, Stone had somm really impressive rebounds, explosive jumps to grab them, Rabb didnt really do anything and was not impressed by him. If the next 2 years top guys are Rabb, Stone, Giles, Jackson etc I dont think that bodes well for a strong draft. Im thinking 2015 is going to be better now than the 2 after. Maybe my view will change after seeing some more, just my initial thoughts.

I agree on rabb the few times I've seen him he looks a little stiff and mechanical and not overly skilled..I think stone is a better player

I never really understood the hype with Rabb. He does look very mechanical out there.

We've all been hearing about how high school athletes don't have the best fundamentals, is USA Basketball trying to change it? Like the U17 and developmental teams. Just a question.

uh, not really. they still pretty much play a pace game, trying to overwhelm the competition with athleticism and bodies. kids still can't shoot, show poor shot selection, force the issue and catch n hold.

he's anything but stiff and mechanical. his issues are strength and sometimes motor. in this tourney he was was behind the others because he started off the trip with an ankle injury that he's playing through.

Id disagree in terms of the dominant back tothe basket big man which we dont currently have

that's not the direction the game is going and hasn't been for a while. having one is a bonus, but not a necessity.

manual,,,,tell me what you think of prince ali. he just committed to us

i've only watched him play 3 times, maybe 4 in passing. his aau team wasn't one i sought to watch because they weren't that talented. his HS team was televised a couple of times on espn, including a matchup with montverde.
i probably can't add more to what you've already read. he's an athletic slasher with long arms. aggressive, attacks on 2ndary breaks and knows how to draw fouls. can make plays but is a bit TO prone. supposedly he's improved his shot, but i don't think it's a strength of his yet. i think he leans forward a little too much on his shot. could work on his handle, not forcing the issue so much and coughing the ball up, but that comes with players as aggressive as he is. has very good defensive potential though. i see a little oladipo in is game. he's a better athlete than he is skill-wise.

Humphries is going to be a good one, hope he ends up in NCAA in some way, he needs to mature physically, but man, he got such a soft touch and he is not afraid of banging down there, Australia got loads of talent in those generations between 95 and 98.

Will Mcdowell-white is another aussie to keep an eye out for. 98 born and a year ago was rated higher then humphries but had a falling out with his state coaches which is why he missed worlds

Just had a fine adidas nations, 14 points and nearly 9 boards a game from the sg/pg position. 6-5 and a very good athlete
