I don't need to watch players to have opinions. To me every player has a "prospect box" which includes everything about them, and this information is readiliy accesible. In Biyombo's case I don't know much about his feel for the game and fluidity which will prob be the biggest determiner of his success. I'm guessing like most super raw big men it's not that good and so he's not a knockout prospect

I like him more than Valanciunas though. If you're giving me the raw and long big man I'd rather have the super athletic guy
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

1st half of hoop summit and this guy was extremely impressive playing with completely uncomposed guards who were destroyed by the u.s press. he fly's all over the place for rebounds and shot blocks. in the post he shows pretty good composure, showing pass fakes to keep the double from fully commiting and when he hasn't been doubled he's shown a couple of very quick, nice spin moves....obviously pretty raw but i guarentee that nba scouts are absolutely drooling after that first half.

If he were super raw he wouldn't have played 20 mpg in the ACB these past months.
I find quite silly making any choice among players you never saw though.

Biyombo is easily the best player on the world team. Anthony Davis is impressive for the USA team. He's like John Henson but can play offense.

Wow, Wiltjer is such a ballhog, singlehandedly kept the world team out of the game.

u.s guard were just so much dam better than world...if world had better guards i think it would have been a very close game, world could not handle the press and yeah wiltjer was awful and glued to the ball

What?

Your opinions on some of these guys show there's something you arent' doing right.

I mean, how are you going to know about Biyombo's feel for the game and fluidity without watching him?

Damn dude. This guy is putting together an impressive resume right before the draft. Don't care what people are saying on here, recent performance, measurements and his overall youth is going to guarantee him a lottery spot. Big men get hyped and GM's see a lot of the same things we do (good #'s in 2ed best league at 18 y.o. / top notch measurements / impressive hoops summit).

Ok, maybe if he has a horrible buy-out he will go later, but not much later. I have never seen him play, but I think I have a decent understanding of how this league works. And this is such a weak draft for legit big-men.

Oden and Lebron looked twice their age coming out of highschool.

Granted Biyombo is from Congo so age manipulation might have been possible but you can test that.

Anyway if those rumors hold no water I predict he will go top 5 easily. The hype is already starting. Nene was a total unknown until a month before the draft and he shot up into the top 5.

Totally agree.

I would argue that virtually nobody here has seen him play outside of a few sketchy youtube videos of game film and the practice videos put up two days ago. Yet he already has a bandwagon and people are foaming at the mouth.

I'd at least wait until the game tonight to profess your love and adoration. Right now, I basically only view him as a guy with insane measurements. The fact that some people (without scout access) have him in the mid-lotto of a mock draft... well that's embarrassing.

He was almost a complete unknown even in Spain a few months ago but he's been playing in the ACB since then, that should give you more information that whatever he does tonight.
You can download 5 of his games here if you're interested, from the "jornada 16" onwards.

thanks man
