you sure, I thought he had Dzanan Musa?

how does it feel knowing everything i said about Trae is becoming more and more true with every game?

Huh? You were down on Trae. And 3 years later he's an all star and getting better and better all the time. What did you say that has become more true with every game? 8-)

that he's a trash defender, trash off-ball player, who takes stupid shots half the time and it'll be incredibly hard to scale and build a championship team around him? i mean, his own teammates at this point don't even like him.

im sure you see it now tho huh? funny thing about people flexing nuts after a season or two.

yea, I'm sure that's exactly what you wrote about Trae a few years ago

Also half the stuff you said is BS. His teammates don't like him? yea ok.

Bad defender? Everyone knew that going in and he has definitely gotten better this year.

hard to build around him? Once again, everyone knew that going in.

Stupid shots half the time? Naw, that's just your opinion.

Guy beat Tatum and the Celtics by himself last night on great shooting. Probably the wrong time to try and claim you were right about Trae being a bad player like you said he would 3 years ago.

i never said he was a bad player or prospect, in fact I had him in my lotto, but you're throwing a temper tantrum now because not everyone thought he's the second coming of Steph like you did. sorry?

and glad that you now seem to agree with my opinion that I had back in 2017 about his lack of scalability in team building, which was always the biggest issue with him, not whether he can drop 25/10 on a nightly basis (similar issues with LaMelo really).

raw numbers mean nothing in today's NBA, it's all about versatility, scalability and team building.

do we feel like the game is slowing down for Ant and he's ready to take off living up to potential? and if so, does he catch Melo for ROY if they both continue playing at this level?

To your first point, absolutely. I know there will be people who hyper-analyze every little thing about his game. But he really seems to be coming into his own, and the team seems to really be in his corner. He needs to become more consistent and even out his play a bit, but he's showing glimpses of greatness in flashes.

Is it possible he catches LaMelo in ROY voting? Unlikely. I think the poor start for the team will hold him back quite a bit.

being on the frontline, how far up do you see his ascension in terms of tiers for the position?

One thing that's evident is that Edwards has really struggled to adjust to back-to-backs. In 6 games of no rest, he's shooting 31.4% from the field and 21.9% on 3-pointers. He's also come up short on some dunk attempts in those games including last night, so clearly he didn't have his legs.

6-21 / 1-9
0-8 / 0-2
5-14 / 2-7
5-12 / 2-5
8-16 / 2-4
3-15 / 0-4

He probably won't ever be the Harden / Booker / Beal type tiers, but I think just below that can be attainable.

You've definitely had Lewis as the top player in the class last year and top 5 this year at various stages.

yes, coming out of HS. wow u got me there!

You still had him top 5 of this year’s stacked draft even after his disastrous freshman season.

I would think with this happening we'd have better things to address than big boards. Especially in THIS thread.

Feels like he shouldn't be doing that to a kid whos career trajectory immediately plummets after that. Id never even heard of him before this lol

He is in way better shape than he was not just during his pre-draft workouts but also early in the season

Who cares where people had prospects ranked months ago. Who cares where they have them ranked now? These are all just opinions that are like throwing darts at how everything will translate given the character, work ethic, coachability, ability to stay healthy, it takes to succeed...too many things we can only know so much about.

But anyway this is the Anthony Edwards thread, as was noted anyway, so if you want to debate old lists, go do it in a prospect ranking thread. I do, however, remember that clyde at one point had RJ Hampton in his own tier last year, and also remember how much he loved Bol Bol, Bamba, DiVincenzo, and of course Zion.

Everyone cares, unless you are of the naive opinion that everyone knows an equal amount and should have their opinion weighed exactly the same. There's a difference between someone who's throwing darts and someone who's so clueless about darts that they attempt to eat them and then start screaming at people who point out that darts are not food.
