The surprise is gonna come in the form of his shooting from the elbow and he CAN hit the 3.
How is he different
then sabonis ? I mean seem to have pretty similar games. Sabonis better passer but....I see elbow....post moves....both college studs
Height being obvious difference. But he can play center. No real centers no adays
Do you mean how is he different "Than" Sabonis? He's a much better shot blocker, but a slightly shorter Sabonis is suppose to be 6'11'' and TJD is 6'9''.
did you know sabonis has a 6-11 wingspan and TJD has a 7 foot wingspan ? ??
he is a shorter sabonis. Both have 5 man ability....adeboyo is 6-9...we talking modern nba.. and its not always height is how u play. tjd plays very big. name me a player who fits tjd style of play more then sabonis ? ........interesting per the tweet its who he patterns his game after. ......the better question is why would a sabonis type not be effetive at the 4 position if he were to play there ? Lets say he doesn't develop a 3 , he still stands to be a good player. .....guys with post games are going to be at a premium in following few years as the league finds ways to deal with the small ball style. TJD seems to have ability to move his feet on d, elite swatting ability....and post moves that are rare in todays league and a premium imo. Look at a guy like duren for the pistons he was 6-9 and doesn't have TJD's post moves or shooting at all. so i don't think height is a big thing. And people said duren has adeboyo passing ability - TJD had shown some some elite passing ability. I'm not seeing the amount of weaknesses or ones as glaring as others drafted above him......what are the weaknesses besides 3 ball and perhaps "fit" in modern nba to IMO I think is baloney and makes him more valuable.

Trayce Jackson-Davis compared his game to Domantas Sabonis and Draymond Green, specifically for his passing ability and position flexibility to be either a 4 or a small ball 5.
