ESPN has him going 10th to Chicago in their latest mock.

He basically has Horford measurables, no?

Easy pass. Fun to watch though. Just can not win with him at C or PF.

He's a defensive cone. This kid is going to have trouble defending. He doesn't have NBA speed or instincts. He's out of the lottery. (for me)

Yeah that was a really rough game or him. He was getting abused all day by Wolf. His 28 or whatever were completely negated by his defensive *lack of effort. Which I think it is, lack of effort. He does not try or care to play defense. They would have won by 20 if he was even a decent presence down low

When Queen has a successful 12-year NBA career, I'll remember you jokers.

Goldin and Wolf are gigantic. Michigan is a legit national championship threat.

The biggest problem Queen has is that Julian Reese is a very limited big next to him. Queen should have had three more assists, at least.

Queen does have the defensive concerns you alluded to.

He just doesn’t try on defense. He doesn’t move his feet at all. He’s lazy. I think it’s fixable and he can at least be somewhat passable

Michigan is not a national championship threat either…they don’t have the guards. They’re honestly overrated imo. Maryland is way better and seemed to be half assing it out there. Reese sucked also. Maryland beats them 8/10 games they play

He just looks like he needs to get in better shape and develop his body.

The tools are there to be okay defensively and combined with his offensive prowess he should be good.

if you're at this level and are both out of shape and seemingly disinterested on defense, there's really very little hope that he will change his ways. If making it into the league and being a high lottery pick isn't enough motivation then nothing will be. I am evaluating him based on the notion that he's a below average defender without a position. His offense is good enough to make that palatable but only if he lands with a team that runs a lot of action through him so landing spot is paramount.

100% agree with both points.

The second point is especially key. If he's not utilized correctly, he may as well not even be drafted on your team.

He's kinda like a poor man's Cousins basically.

I think that's fair talent wise.

Although he's also a re-roll on some of the sloppier aspects of Cousins's game (shot selection, turnovers) which could end up better for Queen than actual Cousins.

I don't know for sure, probably 10-15.

This was my assessment. If you can bet on him being a student of the game, a hard worker, a reroll of Cousins-lite is not a bad choice.

I think Queen's draft ultimately ends up being a function of his off court behavior. This is important for all prospects, but doubly so for Queen. For many, a lack of devotion of life to basketball will lead them to end up as role players, due to their immeasurable talent. For others like Queen without the body, the skillset, and the role to play in the NBA, he needs to work hard to improve every season at least for duration of his rookie contract. He isn't that far from Jared Sulliger or Jahlil Okafor.

I am evaluating him from a position of I am from Maryland. My fraternity brothers are from the DMV and Baltimore. You have no clue. Motivation? Disinterested. Go back and watch Nique Clifford when Queen alone defended him twenty feet from the basket. He couldn't dribble past Derik, and he passed. Average defender? Who blocked that CSU shot as the score was 64-64? Palatable offense? Queen hit two threes. Maryland's guards froze him out the last 10 minutes. SO WHAT happened next? "Coach, give me the MF ball." How'd that work out?

I think you're a racial profiler and probably a lot like Dan Dakich and Dave Portnoy.

Off court.... BEHAVIOR???

WTF

You're probably Pete Hegspeth's cousin. Let me ask about your off court behavior. Oh, that's right. Nvm. Nobody's gonna ask YOU that.

Why is that?

(Brother, do you think he's gonna sip syrup like JaMarcus Russell? Or, do you think he's gonna eat his way out the league? Or, do you impugn the character of colored guys?)
