Pettiford’s on my list of guys that won’t be a lottery pick but could easily end up as a starter if given a few years to develop. This draft is bizarre, seems like there’s more talent outside the lottery than in it, but it’ll require patience.

I don’t know why the league evaluations seem so desperate right now (CBA issues, looking for *right now* contributions, perhaps?), but the mocks I’m seeing value a “5 right now, ceiling of 6” over “3 right now, ceiling of 8” this year. Feels unusual.

He made the right decision. Come back, make major improvements, and show you are a lottery player ready to start year 1.
