Yeah, similar fluidity and quicks, Fultz obv even more, he is larger, longer, more athletic and plastic, but I see what you mean

I have hopes for Maxey being a better shooter though, although I had them for Markelle too

I'm pretty convinced that if the Knicks don't move up to draft LaMelo, they'll draft Cole cuz of all the NY connections and need at PG. I wanted to see what the people outside the Knicks board think of him as a prospect.

Cole rounds out my Top-5 (Hayes, Edwards, Ball, Maxey, Cole). I think the lack of spacing defense is legitimate regarding his struggles in Chapel Hill. He is one of the few potential lead initiators in this class, can create offense for himself and I actually buy him as a plus POA defender. Definitely has his warts, and would prefer more of a distributor next to Barrett, but could do worse than him for New York.

Can't imagine you guys take another young, French guard but Killian Hayes would be my favorite fit for you guys.

I don’t see the Coby White. He was such a smart college player. He didn’t wow you with his athleticism and would get super hot at times.

With the way the lottery works now and the Knicks luck, I think it’s more likely they move back a couple picks.

That's a given for the knicks but a few mocks have Cole at 10 or later. The latest DX one had him at 13. Unless things crazily change with work outs, he's going to be there.

I’m kind of a big fan of RJ Hampton. Reminds of an underdeveloped Derrick Rose. Not the same level handle at all, but Hampton has time to develop that.

Is that top 5 for just guards, or is that your big board? Most of the Knicks board is pretty high on Hayes too. I just can imagine him getting booed hardcore with Cole still being on the board. I definitely agree with the rest of you analysis on Cole, I wish he had better playmaking instincts cuz he'd be a perfect fit otherwise.

That's my top 5, order is fluid.

Not sure if anyone else have seen the rumblings. But sounds like there could be a mass exodus of thought to be OAD players not going to college and going to the G League instead. The rumored names Ive seen are all the Jalens (Suggs, Green and Johnson) and Terrance Clarke. If that happens Im going to have to watch some G League this year.

Edit: wrong thread haha.

This is my new lottery big board:

01. Anthony Edwards*
02. James Wiseman*

03. LaMelo Ball*
04. Tyrese Maxey*
05. Jaden McDaniels

06. Devin Vassell*
07. Cole Anthony
08. Killian Hayes*
09. Tyrese Haliburton*

10. Deni Avdija*
11. Isaac Okoro*
12. Onyeka Okungwu*
13. R.J. Hampton*
14. Josh Green*

... I really struggled with the ordering of Anthony, Hayes, and Haliburton, as I think they have similar value, in the NBA. I think I have to give the slight edge to Anthony because I think he's the more versatile scorer of the 3. I've cooled on Hayes and Hampton and I'm hot for McDaniels. I just think his potential is too much to pass on. He's 6'10 w/ a 7'7 wingspan who has shown enough ball skills and shoots the ball well enough for me to warrant such a take.

Random lottery mock incoming... (simulated using Tankathon)

01. WAS: Wiseman (they have a clear need @ the 5 and Wiseman has huge defensive potential)
02. CLE: Edwards (tons of guards in CLE, but CLE can't pass on Edwards)
03. GSW: Okoro (warriors get a defensive-minded wing)
04. CHI: Ball (fits AKs preferred style of fast-paced, ball-movement play)
05. MIN: Maxey (bpa IMO; defensive potential + 6th man potential)
06. ATL: Avdija (hawks do not have clear answer at back up 4; allows them to play bigger)
07. DET: Anthony (det gets future PG; rose can mentor him for a year)
08. NYK: Vassell (hayes and haliburton still on board, but they need a wing)
09. CHA: Okungwu (cha has a clear need at the 5 and Rozier/Graham need a roller/legitimate post presence)
10. PHX: Hayes (has more potential than Haliburton IMO; pairs well with Booker and Ayton and can learn from RR)
11. SAS: Haliburton (heady player fits what the SAS are all about: making the right play)
12. SAC: McDaniel (his potential as a 6'10 scoring 3 in the NBA is just too much to pass up and SAC could use a 3)
13. NOP: Hampton (Holiday isn't going to be there forever and Hampton/Ball/Ingram/Williams/x has a high defensive ceiling)
14. POR: T. Bey (they badly need to improve 2 things: defense and wing rotation; T. Bey fits that mold)

...

How would you guys fill out this particular mock?

As a Knicks fan I'd hate it. I didn't do all this losing just to land an off ball shooter. I agree that I need an oddball shooter but that's something I wanna find at a lower potential/higher ceiling pick like 27 and Vessel will already be taken.

We play Frank Ntilikina and DSJ bro. Its hard out here

That's not why I am calling him a fraud, even if I wholeheartedly disagree with that and I feel like it's an obvious non starter
