I'm not trying to be rude, but wow.

What you stated, but the complete opposite, is true.

Ayton is more explosive but he lacks fluidity in most non straight line situations at least defensively.

100 percent agree.

Why would you ask that question? Shouldn't you compare him to the 7'1 freshmen who averaged 20 and 10 in college and busted in the NBA?

Throwing out an arbitrary name like Thabeet who's game has nothing in common is kind of irrational, no?

I couldn’t really think of any off the top of my head.
While ayton is leagues better than thabeet offensively, thabeet was supposed to be at least very good on defense. And wasn’t.

This is what I’m thinking about with ayton. Big man offense isn’t really important so much. 20ppg centers are not really what you want. Ayton can look a little lost and disinterested on defense. That’s where the Thebeet worries come in a little bit.

There are some centers in the nba who are fantastic on offense and can’t get on the floor because of their defense. And as the years pass, this issue only gets worse!!!

Drafting a 20ppg big man with defensive awareness issues... that’s a little red flag for me. Defensive awareness issues makes me think thabeet. It’s just a little scary... who cares if he is all world on offense, if he is a liability on the other end (the end that most of the “best” centers now are dominating)

I mean, if he turns out to be Brad Daugherty without the injuries, is that really a bad #1 pic?

Thabeet had literally 0 basketball skill. He couldn't get on the floor because he couldn't play at all. Why not compare Ayton to guys like Drummond or Kanter who are weak-ish defenders but could actually play? How about Cousins? Would you call him a defensive dynamo?

Hmmm... KAT is what again?

Thabeet was old, mediocre athlete, had 0 offense and was good on defense, quite a bit different than Ayton. Unbelievably for a guy picked 2nd over Harden and Curry nobody here was that surprised when Thabeet busted, some were already calling him ThaBust after he got drafted, he just had that look about the way he played, if you made a bust in a factory it would look like Thabeet. Memphis owner took the reigns with that pick late in the game after other prospects were dodging Memphis and had no idea what he was doing. Worst pick ever.

This is why there are many who feel Doncic or maybe even Bagley should go #1 overall before Ayton.

Ayton is such a good fit for Phoenix both on and off the court. Can't see them going in any other direction.

Hm, between the league asking the Suns not to say who they've decided on and Ayton not scheduling any other workouts, looks like mock drafts will have an easy choice for at least the first pick.

Incorrect.

KAT is disastrous on defense. Not just 'not very good'

Ayton will be worse. You take KAT's low defensive IQ, half it, you get Ayton. This kid is gonna be one of the most disastrous defenders we'll ever see in the league.

Could you check KAT's playoff DBPM stats for me?

Just interested to know what they say because he looked very very good in playoffs defensively.

How much to you want to bet Ayton plays power forward? He wants to be LaMarcus Aldridge.

DBPM is a useless defensive stat.

His DRAPM and DRPM are disasterous over the past 3 seasons. And no we can't calculate a playoff RAPM family stat.
