Edey “the foul merchant”

The officiating is a joke. 10 fouls to 0 lol

Just shows how much of a joke the NCAA tourney has become if they are pushing this big stiff.

And this argument that Edey is getting a good whistle is the dumbest one yet. He is getting held and grabbed every play. Sometimes both arms are held by two different guys. He is getting fouled because they can't do anything else to stop him. Yall need to start watching the games.

I’ve got double & az has 7x the post count of you and we’re the alt accounts? Make it make sense at least.

And I am sure the majority of those posts are one or two lines with little substance, just like all your troll posts in this thread.

Then seriously, why do you come in here so much to comment on a draft prospect you don't even like? Does it make you feel better about yourself when you criticize someone else.

That is pretty much the definition of hater.

If you are so adamant about Edey being good, you should put your name down in stating Edey should be #1, at least in the top #5. Except no one has the courage and resolve to do so in this thread because deep down we all realize Edey has a higher chance of not being a NBA player than an actual star.

I've long written that Edey has an outside chance of being a very good NBA player, but his downside is so low that I estimate his mean outcome of not being a rotation player.

He was #6 for me a couple of weeks ago, and he will probably end up higher. I feel ok going out on a limb with Edey, mainly because I think his median floor is higher than it seems others do

All you haters were just so belly hurt from that 40 burger Edey served up you just couldn't wait to run in here and post, lmao

Did you watch the game? What part of that game makes you think any of that is translateable to the NBA? Dude had 0 fouls called on him until 5 min left in the second lol. It was a laughable display of officiating start to finish.

No, I'm not criticizing him. I'm posting facts, and setting people like you who don't know the game straight.

Is the thought process here that the NCAA is rigging things for Purdue and a 7'3" Chinese Canadian giant no one likes watching who doesn't have a great shot in the NBA.

I'm not sure you know what the word fact means because you are mostly posting opinions based on assumptions about how his game will translate.

Ahh, got it, I guess it's an opinion that the modern game is played different than it was in the 90s.

It is actually, and it is also an opinion to say Edey will not be able to play any different style that he is playing right now. Your opinion that basketball is different in the modern game is one I agree with. Cycles have a way of coming back around though, and even if they don't Edey is the perfect pick and roll big.

Hypothetically, if Edey were to continue his level of play in the tournament, and Purdue went on to win the title, where would his performance rank as far as individual tournament runs?

He has a chance to set the points, rebounds, free throws made and free throw attempts single tournament records

it's such a different landscape in today's NCAA. There's very few great big men so it's hard to gauge his performance against recent guys. If they face Uconn and Clingan and he dominates him and they win the National Title it'd elevate things drastically imo.

Edey will own clingan win the title and soar up draft boards and have at minimum brook Lopez type career with upside to be a perennial all star.

Clingan got pushed around by ledee.....embarrassed. ....edey will out physical him big time.

I have 0 doubts about edey at the next level.....he is waay more mobile than yao then boban and more stamina ....does not come off court and doesn't start looking stiff and tired like almost every 7 foot 4 guy normally does

Has a mid range game.........is the first center since yao to have the wide shoulders and thick body and post moves.

You all are frankly crazy to say he can't play in today's game.......reason for lack of bigs has also been a lack of talented bigs.

As a GM I would be salivating at an opportunity to zig the zag and go efficient big. Bigs will make an appearance again it's always cyclical.

Edey also has that dog. He would murder these twigs chet holmgren and Victor. Have you seen wemby try to guard a back down center ?? Embidd put 70 on him

It's never been easier for a true post up player to score. .......like I said....most tall guys coming out have been euro soft or thin and lacked post game.......the thicker and more physical post up guys are the future. Shaq would put 100 on the modern NBA guys like wemby.

I believer bobans points per minute were insane....it was so easy for him to score and rebound ....but he didn't have the stamina ..and lacked the defensive foot speed of edey

A boban who can stay on the court ? That's all star level

There isn't a lack of bigs in todays game. There is a lack of one dimensional bigs...

I've posted this before, but a big part of me wants the Spurs to draft him

Return to NBA Draft
