Justise Winslow or Stanley Johnson? I'm leaning Winslow but its early. He has really improved as a shooter over the past few months.

something i'll def be keeping an eye on this year. Right now I think Justise sticks around for at least 2 years while Stan could be one and done. kinda feels like Aaron Gordan and Rondae Hollis Jefferson a year ago where the bigger name coming in doesn't necessarily do much to separate the two players game wise.

Justise looks like Kawhi Leonard looks right now, definetely better than what Kawhi looked at SDSU

Re: Future draft classes
im partial to winslow. smarter player, better defense, better floor game. he might not have as much scoring potential since stan is naturally more aggressive looking for his offense, but i prefer winslow's all-around game.

I just have a weird feeling that Stanley Johnson might struggle (AZ has AWFUL spacing) and Winslow will put up efficient, all around stats 1st year.

Re: Future draft classes
their spacing was bad, but it was bad last yr too. miller's gonna have to stagger the lineups in a way to improve spacing. i think they can be a better shooting team than they were last yr. mcconnell can shoot, he just has a tendency to pass up shots. ashley can shoot and i do think that elliott pitts, who i'd like to see get more minutes, is an underrated shooter as well. they also have gabe york, who i think sucks, but isnt afraid of pulling the trigger albeit with inconsistent results. PJC can too. how well stan looks offensively will depend on how well he picks his spots. i think he'll struggle with that a bit. that isn't one of his best traits to begin with.

UK is ugly to watch, Ulis should start, Andrew Harrison is god awful.
Towns played 10 minutes only today, so far Lyles is being way better.

anyway one onlooker just posted that kevon looney is a slam dunk to be 1done if this is how he plays, and for the record, he looks to be a monster rebounder
he's a little tough to project given his tweener size. does he project to be physical enough to play on the interior? as a PF, is he a face up? is he quick enough to defend on the perimeter? are his ball skills good enough to play out near the arc?
he's got a tremendous nose for the ball, long arms. not explosive in terms of quickness or bounce, but he's slithery, anticipates and moves with purpose.
he's not a great shooter at the moment but does have a projectable stroke. sounds like the same things that were said about kawhi, but at a later stage.

the first part of your answer has yet to be determined. he's pretty physical and even though he's 220 he looks like he can carry anoth 15 > 20. he's got good handles. he nailed a 3 when squared up. i think he's deferring or he's very smart and knows his limits.
he's listed at 6'9" but he's got high, squared shoulders. so along with his long-a$$ed arms, i think frame-wise he's more like 6'10 >11". he's gone to the line 28x in two games, granted the opposition aint much. he just has a nose for the ball. with what just happened to yet another rookie, gordon, looney might be a LOW risk player.

Re: Future draft classes
He looks like washed up in athletic terms, Perry Jones, but with a different demeanor, more aggresive and tough, pretty good rebounder too.
The problem is that he is slow and not that explosive, from what I've seen he tries to play a face-up PF game, but unless he gets the stroke going consistently is going to be difficult for him to produce offensively.
By the way McCullough from Cuse', anoter comboforward, has started the season strong too.

I like what I've seen from Myles Turner..beautiful stroke fundamentally sound great shotblocker he's not an exoplosive athlete but he makes up for it with timing and his length..
I think he's a lock lotto though Barnes is doing his best to cut his minutes in hoping he can sabotage his freshman year to keep him another year

um, nobody immediately jumps out. to me he's a tweener so he can go a number of ways. it'll depend on his choice of which direction and how his body fills out. i might be dating myself here, but as a PF, he reminds me a bit of ac green.

Re: Future draft classes
i remember hearing Durant comparisons for Looney so I was obviously intrigued to see him. There was nothing in his game that reminded me of KD. nothing at all and the only thing i could see that might make them relatable is his physical appearance which is where i think THAT comparison came from. Game wise though he is hard to pinpoint.
and yes ManRam you dated the hell out of yourself with AC Green. smaller Vin Baker maybe?

Read that Jaylen Brown contacted Michigan (apparently his family is from there) and will take an OV there
Still will go to KU, UK or UCLA imo

who would still be at michigan if Jaylen decides to attend? Caris should be leaving this year assumedly. Who would Jaylen share the roster with on the Wolverines?

Derrick Walton
N/A
Zak Irvin
Kam Chatman
DJ Wilson/Mark Donnal/Ricky Doyle
For whatever reason, top tier guards aren't keen on UM but Brown would have tons of space and ball screens to work with

Re: Future draft classes
Michigan is a good option for him, I think he goes UCLA, but still, I think he can learn a lot from Beilein.
Irvin might be gone aswell, but Albrecht should be there.
Walton-Albrecht
Dawkins-MAAR
Brown-Hatch
Chatman-Bielfeldt-Wilson
Donnal-Doyle
That's not too bad, and they would be in the fight for others, such as Swanigan, if Jaylen ever committs there.
If you get Swanigan and Irvin stays, a Walton-Irvin-Brown-Chatman-Swanigan sounds phenomenal.
