And no one said Fultz wasn't good. Just that he's absolutely nothing like Dwyane Wade. In any way. I mean they're both humans...

He looked quite a bit better and more athletic against that *Chilean* competition than teammates of his who will be top-5 picks next year, so at this rate you might as well stop watching the NBA because in a few years, all the current players will replaced with all these guys you think are so unathletic. Or you could just realize that players who are 17-18 years old get bigger, faster, and stronger as they physically mature and that your memories of Dwyane Wade are from a time when he was as old as Fultz will be when he signs his rookie extension.

You're right he's so much more athletic than guys like Hamidou.

And no crap he looked better than them. No one is doubting he's good. Also I'm willing to bet Wade didn't magically become athletic on his 20th birthday. I don't even think you believe what you're saying its so absurd.

You are arguing with nobody right now. Only person who keeps bringing up Wade is you.

Yeah, Wade was such an unbelievable athlete at that age that he went to Marquette for 3 years rather than going straight to the NBA.

Because everyone knows if you're athletic you'll get drafted high right? Just ask DJ Stevens.

And reading this thread its obvious a lot of people "scout" by watching the positives on the DX scout videos.

Mostly size and length. Has all of Smith's scoring and playmaking ability in a much bigger package, giving him a bump in current productivity. Smith the athletic advantage once he fully recovers but that doesn't matter as much given the extent of the difference and Fultz is no athletic slouch himself.

Smith a fine prospect though - I can see a case for him as the 2nd best PG prospect in the draft.

I know, right?

First, there's a highlight where he takes on 4 guys and finishes in a way reminiscent of the Kyrie Irving plays that have made everyone lose their minds this finals. That is seen as evidence of his lack of athleticism, because supposedly John Wall would have scared all four of those defenders out of the way with his quickness or something.

Then, there is a play showing him attack a completely set zone defense from the top of the key and dunk from outside the circle, and that too is seen as even more evidence of his lack of athleticism because, umm...athletic players never use spin moves? Can someone please tell that to Earl Monroe, or Hakeem Olajuwon, or John Wall himself, or (gulp) Dwyane Wade?

Hear you tell it, man I'm fallin/Well somebody must have caught him/Cause every fourth quarter/I like to Mike Jordan 'em.

fultz having a devastating spin move only shows me that the guy has amazing body control and knows when to use it

He might actually have the "best" negatives DX video I've ever seen in that his weaknesses (shot selection/consistency, defensive focus) are things that reliably improve with more experience and better coaching. On the plays showing him getting beaten on defense he tends to make a good recovery and force his man to adjust his shot in a way that would make it easily blockable by a help defender. There was a play in there where it took a full 2 seconds for any other UW player to realize Fultz was beaten and start moving towards the ball. The first time I saw that video I came away thinking more highly of Fultz's defensive potential if those were the most egregious examples of poor defense from him during the season.

Any chance Boston pulls the trigger on the deal with Sacramento? Seems odd fultz will workout for Sacramento unless there some kind inside scoop between fultz agent and Boston management. #5 and #10 plus cauley-stein for #1.

They weren't at all the most egregious. When DX released their scout videos the Knicks board had a field day with them (and this is back when we still could've got him). Even his biggest fans on the board acknowledged his agent must've gave DX some serious cash.

Watch his video compared to Dennis Smith's and its obvious which prospect they were trying to tank the value of and which one they wanted to look amazing. I mean Lonzo got like a 7 part video on his negatives.

Fultz is a great prospect but its hard for me to imagine him playing off the ball with IT dominating the ball for 90 percent of the plays.

Ball just seems like the perfect teammate to pair up with IT, because of his height, PG skills, and ability to affect the game without touching the ball that much.

Should the Celtics pass up on Fultz to get a better back court teammate for IT?

Looks like i ended up being right with the Celtics, Fultz and IT.

Celtics realize that Fultz and IT will not play well together and will look to Ball or Josh Jackson to pair up with IT and his ball dominating game.

I think Boston will trade that pick for Butler
Suggs, AB, Jase
Bane, Melton, Jett

I wonder what exactly Danny Ainge saw in Fultz that made him want to pass on him, it couldn't have been just a poor workout.

IT had a breakout year and Fultz would have been his backup. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Ainge picks Isaac. He likes prospects that are good shooters. Isaac could be very valuable in a few years, rim protection and perimeter defense.

Isaac, Tatum, Josh Jackson are all guys that I think will be good as small ball PFs.

Is he going to bust? Already changed his jump shot form, if he struggles to shoot that's a huge problem with average explosiveness and questionable body language
