fair enough. I've always meant to ask what constitutes as an elite big man prospect for you. I don't think I've ever seen you outright rate one as such.

I thought Goga was pretty elite, or close to, obv Jaren Jackson, or Bagley (although I projected him as a big F)
I was high on Collins, but he obviously wasn't elite, more like Wiseman but in a different way, I thought Isaac was near elite as a potential Center

I was low on Towns, should've had him higher, still had him as a PGasol-Horford type player and as clear top4 pick, Porzingis also was elite for me

mobility and shooting rank high on your criteria it would appear or am I gauging that wrong?

how many C in the league right now that can't shoot are real impact players? there's Gobert but he might be the best defensive player in the entire league, Drummond is good but I don't know about impactful, and he's gonna go down as one of the greatest rebounders ever

what is Wiseman gonna give u outside the traditional big man game? that's the question that he has to answer for me.

Embiid - both
Jokic - elite passer/creator
KAT - elite 3 level scorer, creator
Gobert - elite defender

right now Wiseman is neither, he's not very sophisticated offensively and defensively he's decent but nothing special.

but, as a disclaimer, dude is super young and it's still the 1st game of the season, so we'll see.

We’re these guys that at 18? Because other than KAT, none were as good as Wiseman at the same age.

that's not the point, im not comparing them at the same age, i'm just pointing out what Wiseman needs to develop in order to be a top C in the league, that's the profile he needs to start looking like

Embiid was a late bloomer, and Gobert had to work on his body a ton, which makes sense since he is 7'3, but Jokic was absolutely better than Wiseman at the same age lol, he was ridiculous in ABA league at age 18-19

Again, youth ain't everything, it's hard to project Wiseman considering the way he plays, moves and his skillset to be a guy who is going to develop into a special talent that way

Nico is good but I don't really see a 1AD guy, Green has been okay kinda quiet.

If you look at Joel Embiid's and Anthony Davis's (2 of the top what, 6-7 players in the league) percentages on jumpers, that's not exactly a high bar to reach. They still make defenses go out there to guard them; other than that, the difference between them shooting 30 and 38 percent on threes at the rate they take them is like 1 extra make every 5-6 games. Wiseman blocked 7 shots at the Hoop Summit and is averaging 5+ blocks per 40 right now, so between that and his size (and his mobility for his size) it's kind of weird to wholly discount the idea that he may become an elite defender.

i'm not discounting it at all, I'm just waiting to see the potential there more consistently before saying he's a bonafide top 5 pick

I agree but I'm not exactly an eye for talent. Zeke Nnaji has been the star of the show thus far - sorry quoting Duke
