You're boasting/chest pumping about a rookies struggles are weird, and don't say you don't cause I read the last page. But yes, Smith Jr is struggling compared to Paolo.

meh, he's been playing pretty well. 13 and 7 in the month of december and was coming off a 14 and 13 game prior to that jazz game last night. sure he's had his struggles as well and the shooting still isn't there, but he's what 19? 20? and 30 games into his rookie season. give it some time. he's far from a finished product and he's been improving as the season progresses.

I actually am rooting for the kid. My issue is with the people who called some of us idiots for questioning how well his lack of handle and athleticism would translate to the next level.

I get questioning his handle and whatnot. I personally thought/think he's Lewis 2.0 . But again the chest pumping is weird when evaluating a rookie. Especially when your measuring stick is " Paolo busted his ass". Yes Paolo is better right now. But I noticed you've been quiet on Iveys struggles.

Slow down and take a deep breath. I’m pro Jabari and was referencing his 27 pt outburst with plenty of possessions where he scored off the dribble.

The issue with his efficiency is that his shot selection sucks.

If he cut out taking jumpers beyond 16 feet and took more 3s from the corners as he figures out what the hell is he gonna do about his lack of handle and athleticism, he would be fine.

The guy isn't Kevin Durant, he's not even MJP, he needs someone to give him offensive structure and stability so he can figure out wtf to do.

Best thing about him is his willingness to bang on the inside and his overall competitive intensity. He is making the best out of a bad situation.

The Rockets should be fined for basketball malpractice. There's a differennce between fielding a non-competitive team but getting guys that are mature that can provide structure and putting a chaotic mess on the floor. The Rockets are a mess.

Every time I watch him, I feel bad for him but then I snap out of it and recognize that he's a millionaire at 20 playing a kid's game.

Lol.

He needs to grind massive amounts of Rashard Lewis game tape. It’d do him good.

Yeah but I don't even think he's that.

I feel like in the NBA he's just a big shooter. Like Cameron Johnson or Trey Murphy.

It's just that he's team is so brain dead that nobody looks to pass the ball when he's open. Or when he's moving around looking for space.

He's not scorer in my eyes. He's a shooter.

Scorers will get the ball off the rim if they have to and impose their will if they aren't given the ball.

That's the type of team the Rockets are. If you want the ball, get it off the rim. Lol, he did that a couple times in his 27 pt game.

I don't think that's him though in the NBA, I think that's the team culture rubbing off on him.

So more of a Channing Frye type then?

he needs to continue developing like any other 19 yr old needs to do - I'm not even sure what you think you are doing in this thread flexing nuts after every bad game a 19 yr old has.

I’m actually rooting for the kid. I just find it funny that he’s struggling with the things that we pointed out pre draft and y’all tried poo pooing.
