His younger brother is maturing in much the same way.

OK.. Watch a full game of the guy! Finished with 6 points a couple of rebounds and at LEAST 6 turnovers.. There's a reason why draft express has him as a late first rounder.. Nowhere near the next KG that everyone is hypeing him up to be on here.

He's a great prospect though. I mean there are clearly issues with motor/drive/consistent effort and most of all clumsiness and feel for the game. That's fine with me, he hasn't been playing the game seriously for that long so he's very raw but all of the intangibles are there, size/frame/athleticism/perimiter skills/face up game/advanced handles. I'm not saying he will put it all together but even watching a game where he performed poorly it's clear to see how he COULD become a superstar if he does.

Just watched Thon Maker at the Elite 24. His shooting stroke looked good (obviously didn't shoot well in the comp) but with more reps he could become a good shooter. Liked how he was working on his shot during the pregame, looked fluid.

Yi Jianlian's shooting stroke looked great when a chair was guarding him too..

And? Never said it was a definite. Just that his stroke isn't broken from a mechanical standpoint.

You're hating pretty hard there bro...

I'm from Australia and wouldn't say "all of us know" that he's older than he says. He's 7'1" and a young prospect on the improve... nuff said

I'd say most Australians haven't a clue who he is, let alone his age

Does anybody know if 2 seasons in Canada qualify Thon to be eligible for the 16 draft?

Sorry but that is rubbish... there is no question mark over his age in Australia.

He came to Australia as a 5 year old from Sudan and lived in my city all his life. According to you that would mean he was really 12 years old and not 5 years old when he came to Australia.

I know this is a long shot... but when customs and the Australian Customs stamped his passport... and let him into the country... I think they would have noticed a 12 year old pretending to be 5.

Unlike 3rd world African countries.... Australia keeps records on things like this.

Besides look at his videos from 3 or so years ago... his facial and cranial features are that of a 14 or 15 year old... not a damn 22 year old. :noway:

Completely agree with this. Same goes with his little bro, Matur. Still has the baby face features and would have been 4 at the time. Just saw some footage of their cousin actually, and even he looks like a 12 year old in a 6'11" body
