He’s talented enough to be a mid first-round pick but there’s a real chance he has chronic foot injuries.

Just for clarity: his most recent injury wasn’t a foot injury.

Whatever the particular injury is in this case, he's probably the biggest injury risk in the draft given what we know at this point. As far as talent, he could be a top-5 player in the draft if he developed into a capable three-point shooter and a solid rotation player for 10+ years if not.

These are the rumors so far:

Omari Spellman and Rawle Alkins are both consensus first rounders

Josh Okogie is likely a first round pick and has been performing like one in workouts.

Donte DiVicenzo and Bruno Fernando both might be first rounders, but both likely second rounders. They’re getting some love.

Jalen Hudson has been annihilating workouts

DJ Hogg has been shooting really well in workouts

Both the Martin brothers haven’t been very impressive shooting and in terms of fatigue/body.

Chimezie Metu hasn’t been impressive

Chris Silva is getting some attention

Gary Clark is a guaranteed 2nd round pick

Teams quietly love Melvin Frazier

Good buzz around Davon Hall in workouts

Brian Bowen looking like a solid upside pick

Wenyen Gabriel is being told he should go back to school

PJ Washington wants a 1st round guarantee or he’s going back to college

Another rumor: Dzanan Musa will be a lottery pick. Also good chance Okobo is a first rounder.

Is there a good clearing house location to get this type of data without wading through all the other munutia?

I like to gather information. Mix of Hoopshype + other sources. I gather information and find new sources all year long.

He's right if he plays with intensity. That's a big if though. I really hope he finds that fire though. If you were to draw up the perfect center for today's game, you'd basically draw up Ayton.

I ll be honest I would do it like this:

Suns - I would pick Ayton
Sacramento - I would pick Bagley
Atlanta - I would pick Bamba
Memphis - I would pick Doncic

It is not because I would pick in general Doncic as 4th but because I look at the teams and fits and I do think the first three teams need a Center/PF

Especially Atlanta imo and maybe Sacramento the least and with Phoenix you could maybe say give Bender another chance and later in the draft pick another center, they do have 3 1st round picks so they can cover that.

Those are my thoughts

His anglicized name is actually Abdusalam Abdurixit.

His Sinocized name is 阿不都沙拉木·阿不都热西提 or in Chinese pinyin Ābùdōushālāmù Ābùdōurèxītí.

Basically his name got butchered since it was transliterated into Chinese then into Pinyin. Abdusalam is a pretty classic muslim name. The rixit part seems to be uniquely Uighur (a Turkic group living in northwestern China and bordering countries)

A Muslim Chinese. You don't see those very often.

Looks like a pretty decent prospect.

Btw, I am STOKED about the lottery outcome. Phoenix and Sacramento are the two teams I wanted to get the highest picks and that's how it played out. Happy for both of those franchise.

If I were them, I'd take Ayton and Bamba respectively, but I think it's pretty much set in stone it's Ayton/Doncic for the top two picks in whatever order.

Pretty bummed we dropped a spot. Bamba feels just out of reach now.

I not so quietly love Frazier.

I was hoping the Hawks could stealth mode him pick #19. Can't wait to see how he measures out along with Okogie.

You never know with how the draft shakes out. There is usually a guy or two you don’t expect to jumper higher than you think. And Bamba is pretty polarizing. Some teams aren’t as high on him as others. He might fall.

I think the Bulls are looking for a wing. They’ve said they don’t like Trae Young as an option too in the Chicago Tribune.

Would depend on the Dallas pick. Among the teams that are slotted earlier than Chicago, Dallas seems to have the highest chances of drafting a big man, IMO.

Though in contrary, I think Wendell Carter needs to come back to earth. I don't see him keeping his draft stock that high.

Yeah, it's far from a foregone conclusion. Would need Atlanta, Memphis, Dallas, Orlando to all pass on him though, feels like a slim chance but we'll see.

I like Mikal a lot but the idea of tanking all season for a guy like him sort of rubs me the wrong way. I had a patch where I liked him over MPJ, but at this point I'm tempted to just say stuff it and give MPJ the chance. Otherwise I'm not sure where I stand between Carter, Mikal, Young, etc.

I have heard the Bulls like Carter. I think he's underrated but I just can't get too hyped at him either, but part of me thinks it's a logical selection. They love Bagley, I don't see him dropping, if he does I'd happily take him but unsure about his fit with Lauri.

I like all these guys but snapping up Bamba and hoping for one of the forwards in 2019 (Barrett, Reddish, Williamson, Little, Doumbouya) next year is the only really promising outcome I see for this rebuild.

Agreed, surely they take one of JJJ/Bamba/Bagley depending on who is available.
