Ingram has apparently been the best player on the court so far in the practices and scrimmage

Watching the scrimmage right now love ben's vision and blakeney looks like he's out to prove he's better than malik Newman.

This next draft class looks like it could be good. A lot of guys with good size and length. They're really competitive and I think that leads to success.

I love watching Ben pass..his visions crazy..I haven't seen him much outside of exhibition games and YouTube clips so I don't know the answer to this but my only question about him is does he have the tools to be a very good scorer? Or is he just jack of all trade glue guy as opposed to possible guy you build around?

as it stands he's more of a find the open space in the half court and score in transition guy. jumper needs work, dribble penetration is ok, post game needs work if he's gonna be a 4 which is still up for debate.
I think he can be built around due to his passing and versatility.

Gotcha
2 guys in the class I want to see are Maker and Labissiere
I know people are down on Maker and like to poke holes in his game a lot because he was overrated by those YouTube clips but he's still has some undeniable upside and skills for a player his size and length

yeah still tons of upside in Thon. The skillset is very good. hardworking kid. its just his size. if he could add weight he'll be more than fine. big if though. Still think he'll do well in college and keep his hype relatively high.

Sounds like Indianas now the favorite which would be a good situation because they have no big men and they play a fast paced up and down style which would suit him well i think

Apparently IU is pushing really hard for Thomas Bryant as well so both of those guys up front would surely booster that team.

same thing was said about this class as well coming in. Too early to really say.
That being said though didn't look like a ton of 1 and done surefire hits last night in the McDonalds game. But we also didn't see some of the elite level talent either. No Skal, no Thon, Ellenson couldn't play so who knows.
Nobody really had D. Russ leaving after a year either.

Re: Future draft classes
Notes from last night's game.
Impressed with Cheick Diallo's energy. gives me a Faried vibe with better rim protection potential. plays hard, rebounds, runs the floor well, needs work on his skill and has to gain some size. Good kid though.
Thomas Bryant was better than i expected as was Diamond Stone. Still not enamored with Stone but he played well against my guy Caleb.
Ben Simmons is a blur in the open floor. reminds me of young Lebron in how he runs lanes open in transition. Meaning he just grabs a board and goes and his speed opens up the floor. Had a sequence where he blocked Rabb from behind, grabbed the board and turned to go and before he took his first step had a defender in the way, ben had the presence of mind and control to dribble behind the back change directions in a blink, beat the defense down the floor and find Blakeney cutting for a dunk with a no look jump pass. Kid sees the floor so well and has a great feel. Noooooooo confidence in his mid-range at the moment though. Passed on a couple open jumpers and drove into traffic for tough shots, got bailed out with whistles but can't rely on that. Will need to get a jumper to alleviate that.
Antonion Blakeney was good, has good chemistry with Ben already so that should work well going forward.
Jaylen Brown's handle is tighter, decision when driving not so much, suuuuuuuuper strong though. couldn't be kept out the paint at all when he decided to go. Very aggressive on defense, reallllll handsy though, the college whistles are gonna keep him in foul trouble if he doesn't fix that.
PJ Dozier was good. loved the vision and his size is very good for a PG.
Isaiah Briscoe wasn't super impressive but he was much MUCH better than i thought he would be. Good vision, good handle, shifty, paced (which i mistook for slow), good size, he's what i would imagine Baron Davis would be if he attempted a comeback at 40. Still able to move and handle and see the floor but noooooo explosion. Maybe fat D Will without the jumper. I dunno. Better than i thought he was though.
Ivan Rabb didn't get to show the post game which makes sense given the setting but was good on the boards and out on the perimeter defending Ben.
Alonzo Trier is a gunner and will put up whatever he touches. Was the only one that didn't seem to play nervous though. good handle, gets to where he wants to on the floor, think he's gonna impress at Zona but get saddled with that undersized 2guard label.
Defense as a whole was turned up in this game. Lots of competitiveness from all the kids. A good sequence where you saw like 6 kids hit the deck for a loose ball which i thought was beautiful. All the interviews were very good. Most spoke to weaknesses in their games that they wanna work on which was also good. Didn't seem to be a lot of Prima Donna's out their. Ball was shared, no one tried to really take over and garbage men flourished which is how Diallo got MVP. Good game for what it was.

Yeah while I'm no Crean fan but if you add Bryant and Maker with their guards and even Troy Williams that's a real talented team

Yeah looking at Browns highlights I thought he was a Stanley Johnson clone but he has a better handle and seems much quicker..
You're right about Trier.. I think Zona could use him they have lacked that guard who can create his own shot and break down a defense and actually shoot the past few years as good as they've been..

It is hard to judge based off of highlights. He is a much better prospect than Stanley Johnson. The athleticism is on a different level, much quicker, more explosive, better vert, more shifty with better body control. As of right now I have him going 1-1 in 2016.
Trier looked good last night. They definitely have missed having Nick Johnson in the back court. He should be a good addition to Arizona.

Brown is a much better athlete than Stanley.
If Crean keeps everyone, and adds maker/bryant, they are going to be a top5 team.
Although, if no one leaves Chapell Hill, the Heels will be the undisputed n1 next year, not even close.

The best and deepest roster in the country by far, I expect major improvement from Jackson, Berry and Meeks.
