There won't be a dropoff at the PG spot for Duke if he reclasses and goes to Duke, put it that way. He isn't as much of a savant as Tyus is but he's very poised, paced, switches gears, tight handle (some say Kyrie esque, i think that's pushing it a little though) good pull up and midrange game, quicker release, smallish kid, not very physically strong, quick though, not an exploder off the floor but has a very mean floater game already, finishes with either hand around the cup with a backboard kiss game (poor man Kyrie level), most importantly though that knock that Duke guards got on defense last year won't exist with this kid. He gives up size but his effort is crazy and he takes pride in shutting down his guy, takes it personal when his man scores, pesky with the hands, heats up the dribbler, racked up on-ball charges and 5 second violations this year.

Not saying much but a reclass would make him the best PG in the 2015 class. he's behind Dennis Smith in the 2016 class at the moment because he's not the athlete Dennis is.

Derryck basically provides all the flash and sexy time stuff that Tyus didn't give the folks that see Tyus as nothing special whilst maintaining (although not on the same level) all the nuances that Tyus does bring to the table that makes him special to the select few of us that see his game as much more than the masses seem to.

Great description..Sounds like he's not a one and done type player?

He is small and not very long so he will have to live in the weight room for a season or two. Also needs to extend his range out to 3. Probably 2 and done.

yeah his size would more than likely keep him at Duke for a couple years and if he can add an efficient three ball it would help, great form so I don't see it as something he couldn't do. Very entertaining kid to watch though, confident, and doesn't get rattled. His passing and vision should shine with all those options around him as well. Like i mentioned before, enough shooters to space the floor and a mobile "big" in Jeter will have him looking like a star.

I think Duke could lose 5-6 players from that team, two are Seniors, Allen could declare and be a 1st, Ingram could be a top10 pick, we will see, same with Thornton, and Obi could also go if he has a strong season and has his degree already.

Well with Zimmerman headed to UNLV, Arizona is settled to have a little bit of a setback, thankfully Tarz came back for them, Anderson, Comanche, Ristic, and Tarzcewski is a strong group of bigs.
I am just guessing buuut, it seems that at maximum Cal picks up Newman and Diallo, and maybe only Newman, Kentucky is not going to be very good next year.

Did not see that coming. UNLV just became a whole lot better.

they have a lot of fellas leaving, and their coach is pure trash.
wood is going to be gone, vaughn, although a chucker, gone, thats their two leading scorers.
kendrick and dooling, seniors, gone.
mccaw, morgan, okonoboh, cornish, cook, carter, walker, are their top returning players, plus zimm, derrick jones, poyser.
they can run something like,

cook-walker
mccaw-poyser
morgan-cornish
okonoboh-jones
zimmerman-carter

with goodluck playing back-up C, but with dave rice that team will crumble like always.

Uk could still get Brown as well

Jaylen is an ADIDAS guy, like Muhammad back in the day, UK has no real shot at him.

I think UK winds up with Diallo and Ingram. Just my opinion.

By the way, man is Diallo impressive. That guy is going to be a top pick, no doubt about it. Raw offensively but the tools are elite. That guy is really athletic while still being such a smooth athlete, it looks so effortless, good hands, good timing, and is really long,

It's unlikely UK gets Diallo at the moment. It seems like he will follow Barry Slice up to St. John's (a move I didn't expect a week ago). Ingram is sounding likely to UK, and Thon Maker to UK is creating some buzz over the past couple days. Not expecting Brown or Newman to commit.

Either way, UK should still be very good next year.

It's a tobacco road two horse race for Ingram is what I have been hearing, and he is really struggling with the decision.

Also hear that Diallo is going to St. Johns.

Yea, I mean, it wouldn't surprise me if that's the current situation, but on the premium boards I follow, I'm seeing that Cal is putting a full court press on him and to not count out UK. I guess we'll wait and see.

Allonzo Trier and Kadeem Allen likely will hold it down offensively. It's not like Stanley/Rondae were great scorers anyway. More worried about the loss of McConnell.

yeah, not having a proven lead guard will hurt, and Trier might chuck them out of some games as well, I guess Simon will start at PG.

He is taking visits soon.

Also, Federico Mussini, Diallo and Yankuba Sima and Mustapha Heron (2016) seem to be headed to St Johns. Good start for Mullins if all those pieces come to fruition ESPECIALLY if he can Obekpa back w/ Rysheed Jordan.

Regarding Murray, I still think he stays close to the border or stays put in 2016 and tries to jump directly to the pros from Canada.

They are also thought to be the frontrunner for Damion Lee out of Drexel and a few other 5th years. Arizona will be more than fine next year.

Sima already comitted
I am not sure regarding to Diallo, Kansas is make a late big push for him.
Mussini will be a great college player.

Yeah I think he was a Duke fan growing up and wants to go there but where he's from is unc country and the public school coaches there basically look at k and duke as carpetbaggers..Duke never gets those public school kids.
