He's most likely a top 10 pick this year. Why would he even consider returning to school? The risk-reward calculation is just off for him.

He's not being put in a position to succeed letting him initiate the offense this season since his handle and decision making isn't up to snuff. I feel like their coach is prioritizing developing him as a pro over winning college games.

VJ can only drop. He is a #4-10 right now.

Undersized combo guard, already on older side being a plus one aged prospect is not gonna help his stock next year when top 2-3 are already inked in.

anybody who suggests a top 10 lock go back to school either doesn't pay attention or isn't interested in reality. top 10 locks don't return to school. that simply isn't a thing.

Nice - that's funny. I like the kid and he's obviously talented. I just had noticed they peeled off a few good wins when he was out...that was all :D

Keep slandering, if this will make him play like he did tonight. 37 big ones.

Big game for McNeeley tonight. He put his team on his back. The kid is a star.

VJ has a BPM of 12, averages 3 stocks per game, and is in the top 5 of every mock Ive seen with only 7 games left. Pretty safe bet he goes top 10.

Ya but you never know. He might be walking and have a coconut fall on his head which would really hurt his draft stock.

Where I’m at…

Flagg
Harper
Ace
VJ (Ceiling due to athleticism and intangibles)
KJ (Limited by his athleticism)
Tre
Fears (Risk due to shot and disappearing but that ceiling if he finds his 3 ball is sky high)

Yeah he is definitely a freak athlete. A guy like that who can shoot 3s will go high.

not his height and reach. There aren't many 6'3" shooting guards that have poor handles starting in the NBA. I like him, he's like a more likable Marcus Smart as is with potential for more if he works on his handle and I'm sure every team wants players like him on their roster but this draft class has a lot of talent in the lottery. Maybe he is a top 10 pick. But he's certainly not a lock. Not in the sense that anyone saying so should be making laughing emojis at suggesting otherwise

If you can find one mock draft, or even one commentator, that has VJ outside the top 10 feel free to share. I won't hold my breath.

yea, but I'm pretty sure the size thing is already kinda priced in, we all know what his measurements are, and it's why he's most likely in that 5-15 range.

and I don't know if he's a lock for the top 10 or not, but he's definitely a 1AD lock. no reason to come back. his measurements aren't gonna get better by staying another year in school lol

VJ’s athleticism and intangibles (Jayden Daniels Vibes) make him a top 10 lock. I will be surprised if he’s not top 5.

Marcus Smart is a good floor for VJ. His 3 ball is already way ahead of Smart’s. He’s also a much better above the rim athlete.

Folks need to watch the BYU game. His playmaking and understanding of the game and the moments to attack, pass, score etc were exceptional. Legit NBA vet level feel for the game. I was very impressed. Made me bump him to 4 ahead of KJ.

I'm new here and a Pacers fan and big NBA head.

I have read the past few pages. VJ reminds me a bit of Bradley Beal. If you remember coming out, Beal was projected as a 3+D guard, built like a tank and had some tools where maybe he could develop into an on-ball piece.

Beal was also a very undersized SG. That was always his biggest knock.

VJ is a better athlete, but I think they are rather similar.
