Draft Combine Measurements

"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

If teams don't fret over the marijuana incident, Klay Thompson looks like a top 10-12 pick after today. Great size for a guy with legit sg skills.

Marcus Morris helped himself a bit too. Came in longer than expected after being "measured" as having only a 6' 7" wingspan about a year ago.

Only saw a bit of his film but I don't know I've ever seen a faster release. Could be a good player.

I could see the Jazz taking him @#12. Jazz could use a SG and I think he looks like a guy that would fit our system well.

Yup. I fully expect him to be a knockdown shooter in the NBA. Can also handle the ball and is a decent play maker. Sneaky athlete and a crafty finisher too.

Interested to see his athletic testing results, mainly agility. If he can defend at a reasonable level, he has a great chance to be a nice starting 2 guard in a few years.

Gary Flowers is a physical freak.

Original thinking was that we wouldn't be drafted, but somebodys going to look at the measurables and grab this guy....even if he is older. Great late 2nd gamble.

Kyrie Irving is bigger than Brandon Knight and Nolan Smith?

Irving is 6'3.5 w/shoes and Knight and Smith are 6'3.25 w/shoes.

It seemed that Knight was taller, but maybe he only appears taller because he is thinner.

If Irving is in fact 6'3 and a half, he puts himself in the realm of uber talented PGs who can potentially guard both guard spots and play with undersized SGs.

I think both Morris twins could kill it in the NBA. 6'10ish wingspans is not bad at all for a PF and that's all they needed with their skill levels. Markieff needed a little more and lucky for him he's +1 inch

This draft is loaded with solid prospects IMO

6'10 wingspan is weak for a PF.

Irving only has a 6'4 wingspan. Definitely not big enough to play combo guard or be put on SGs.

Especially combined with a sub 9' reach.

It's weak but draftexpress contributed to reporting that he had a 6'7" wingspan, so for those who follow prospects closely that 3 inches is a major difference.

Standing just 6'9 and possessing a wingspan which measured shorter than his height,

Disappointing length for Irving, but his NBA height is about 6'3, I think he has the potential to fill out nicely.

8'3 standing reach. if you're disappointed in irving's length, you should be disappointed in knight's length as well (8'2.5 standing reach).

Well, I'm a bit disappointed in his length, I was expecting more. And although I'm a big advocate of standing reach, I think wingspan is a little more relevant for guards defensively. His reach is good though. None of his measurements really changed my opinion about him, I'm still very high on him.

So Knight measures with a 2.75 longer wingspan than Irving but -.5 standing reach. By the math, does that mean Knight's 3.25 inches thicker shoulder to shoulder? That would make some sense. Knight's size appeal to me is a jacked frame more than anything else. Deron Williams is a guy who's actually under 6'3 and has a 8'2 standing reach - but is a huge dude shoulder to shoulder, which is shown by a 6'6+ wingspan despite those other ok length measurements. I've thought Knight has Deron's physical attributes for a while

Btw, following up on the previous discussion, anybody else think Cleveland could take Marcus Morris at 4?

There's something that hasn't felt right about them taking Biyombo there IMO, which seemed like the pick if Irving, Williams, Kanter go top 3. An offensive big who Irving could run the pick and roll with seems like it'd complete their draft more

I really like Irving and Morris together

Kyrie is about what I expected, good, but not great size.

I didn't expect his belly to be hanging over his gold-plated Duke belt-buckle. 10.2% body fat is kinda high for a PG.

I'd be more worried about his body fat if he hadnt been injured most of the season.

This tbh. He barely played last season.

When will we know Biyombo's reach, wingspan, height, weight, etc?

Same with Jonas V...
