Where is he projected to go in this years draft? What are his strengths and weaknesses?

Obviously his athleticism is a strength, which was surprising because I saw him in person as a local prep and his athleticism, while good, was not jaw dropping.
He's a playmaking 2, who IMO, was mistakenly played at the point. He can slash, handle, make plays, likes to pull up, but his shot overall is not good despite having a solid form. I think he can be a better shooter if had better shot selection, but his shot selection is horrible. I dunno what happened to him because he didn't play like that as a prep. He's obviously got the tools to be an outstanding defender. He's already a good one.

I think he'll become a better shooter once he receives better coaching and isn't given the green light. Like I said, his form is pretty good as exemplified by his FT%. So if you combine his ability to slash, with improved shooting and defensive versatility, he still has tremendous upside. I can see him as being a Rodney Stuckey type player, with a bit more upside since he has better form on his shot and is a better leaper. I think he should be taken late first by a team that can afford to sit him and let him watch and learn how the game should be played.

If he is willing to commit himself to being a defensive stopper then he has Tony Allen type of potential.

He's a Chauncey Billups double sorta like how Kobe emulates Jordan. Maybe it can change in the NBA, but Iman doesn't attack the basket much. He's manly a guy that shoots a bunch of pull up jumpers off the dribble like what Jason Terry has been the last several years of his NBA career. At the end of the day offensively Iman is a less talented version of Jerryd Bayless. Defensively is where he may be able to make his mark. The guy is strong at 222lbs and 20 years of age. In a defense with heavy switching, very few forwards will be able to overpower him and certainly not be able to get around him. That will be a great advantage in pick & roll defense.

Decent shooter, insane athleticism. I compare him to Rodney Stuckey

Honestly, he sounds a lot like Javaris Crittenton to me.

He's a good, not great athlete. Handles well but not a great decision maker with the ball. Suspect shot but solid build and good size.

I think he'll get a few chances to prove himself in the league but I don't see much to get excited about.

He's similar but has a vastly superior wingspan that will allow him the opportunity to be a great defender in the NBA.

36.5" no step vertical (explosive as hell)
42" max vertical
18 reps @ 185 lbs
6'4.25" with 6' 9.5" reach

Screaming to become a defensive combo guard. The dude is strong as hell for a college point guard.

Dude didn't pass the ball AT ALL to Gani Lawal or Derrick Favors while they both where manhandling the opponents down low - so I don't know about all that PG skills.

6'5.5 because he will play with shoes next season. And 222 lbs. His measurements were practically off the charts. Problem is he's definitely not a point guard (As SKR pointed out - when you can't get Favors AND Lawal the ball, there's a problem.), and he's a lousy shooter with lousy shot selection. But... you can learn to shoot, and his intangibles seem pretty good - he's a confident/cocky player. I think he's a high 2nd rounder who you put in the DL for a season and see what you have. It may be nothing, but if he learns to shoot...

i wouldnt put ALL the blame on him for his team's struggles in the half court. he should not have been running the point in the first place.
also, paul hewitt's offense was awful and has been for a while.

as for his shot, its not about learning to shoot. hes got nice mechanics and can make shots. its his shot selection thats horrible.

I don't know about 22. Shumpert could sneak into the first round but it would be based on his pure athleticism he showed at the NBA prospect camp. Shumpert's shooting skills still may need some work. Time will tell leading up to the draft if teams see him in the Jordan Hamilton/Marshon Brooks level who seem sure #1 picks. Teams will have to face facts and get more athletic in chasing the Miami Heat. Shumpert could be a reach for some team in the first round.

what i dont get with DX bumping him up is that other players tested out very well too and they ended up further down DX's rankings.
