Looks like Miles being out of this draft was a misevaluation. I recently rewatched the 2nd UNC Duke game which was one of Miles best (I was watching it to put together a Barnes video), I was pretty impressed by his hands around the basket. It matched his 61% 2P which doesn't happen without touch. 6.6ppg as a senior doesn't mean he can't score. Tbh I think he's more impressive offensively than Mason. He doesn't seem incredibly long to me though. Moreso energy PF than C?

I think Miles would be a great pick for Miami's late 1st. I see him being a better finisher than Anthony and Turiaf up front while also providing rebounding and toughness

Hard to believe he wouldn't be able to find a home as at least a 4th big. There are some really unimpressive big men in the NBA.

He's welcome to hook back up in Cleveland with Kyrie if he wants, lol.

Actually that might be his most likely spot. CLE has 33 and 34, Kyrie, and they're a stat team which Miles should do well for due to his 2P% and reb numbers

Yes, it really is, even though his body fat % is also incredible.

Not necessarily directing this comment at you, but his vertical is useless because he does not employ his athleticism enough in game scenarios. See James White.

It took him 4 years to become an above average player in college.

still cant deny miles' athleticism though. he is an nba athlete who has the size and girth to bang in the paint vs nba C's. that's all you can ask for for a 4th-5th big.
btw, he also reportedly completed the agility drill in 10.49

he'll be on an nba roster next season.

Steven Hunter had a great vertical also. Go check draftexpress.com and you will see plenty of guys you never heard of with great verts

I'm always wary of centers who all the sudden put up great stats in their senior year. Seems like a strong negative predictor. It makes me wary of Zeller as well.

he didnt even put up good raw stats. he only played 20 minutes a game his senior season.
the intrigue lies purely in his physical ability. he's 6'11 250 5% body fat, 41 inch vert, who reportedly ran the agility drill in 10.49.
he's a guy who'll rebound on both ends, set picks, roll hard and bang in the post vs C's. that's it. if he makes it, he's a 4th big.

while i'm not going to spend time looking at all the bigs with insane verticals, steven hunter was a 1st round pick :-/

Seems a lot more comfortable offensively than 7ppg as a senior would suggest IMO. This guy isn't some fryer pan hands plug athletic big. Honestly it looks like he has the exact same offensive game as Jonas Valanciunas, he even does the running hook shot thing.

^Post game is weak at best. That's why you don't judge a player on highlights, as he looks really good there.

yeah, i think miles can make a roster but not because of his offensive ability. his offensive game isnt even worth noting.
