You had me until the part about Chad Ford providing "expert" knowledge. Too bad I will have to work though, I may have to clear some space on the DVR.

Because the guys that were ranked at the top of the draft quite competing in them. Their agents felt that their value could on decrease from it, so the NBA got rid of it to focus on individual performance and skills, so the top ranked draftees would come back.

Do they shoot at all and come off screens etc? or do they just do the sprints, leaps, agility drills?

I think mostly sprints and leaping drills. I don't remember them doing 5 on 5 drills but I do remember 3 on 3 fastbreak drills and other situational drills but the players are mostly doing it with other players in their position.

They had 5 on 5 games a few years ago when it was called the "NBA Pre-Draft Camp", but they stopped it because of what Kerrsed said.

Why does the combine measurements have such a big impact? aren't the games watched enough to give a good indication of where someone will go?

For example, If someone posts great athletic results but doesn't use his athleticism in games at the college level then those results don't mean much.

Idk either, but Iman Shumpert helped his stock a lot last year with the combine, before that he was projected a mid or late second rounder...

Well it mostly likely impacts guys who are great at the college level, but may not have the size to do it in the pros. Often times a 6'6 pf or 6'2 sg can dominate in college, but they are too short or don't have the wingspan to defend or get shots off in the pros.

+1 Combine numbers are the most overrated stats.

I think Kendall Marshall will be the best PG of this draft class.

LOL Wroten can't shoot a lick

Teague has a weird shot and kind of kicks his legs out, kind of like he's stopping himself from jumping higher, and has a slow release. Has a great frame for a PG.

Marshall's shot didn't look good at all in the spot-up 3 drill. Has a low release that comes from his chin, and doesn't get much lift on his shot.
