TASTIC wrote:^No idea, before the season started he was looked at as a top 10 guy, then as a 19yr old he does 7-6-2blk in 23min in his first full season of organised ball in the US and suddenly he drops 20 spots.

I think after the combine, tests and workouts etc he'll be 15-20.

He reminds me of a young Tyson Chandler, not quite as athletic and more advanced physically (ie frame/strength) at the same age. He has a man's body and could still add 15-20lb of muscle, he has massive shoulders/hands and as others have said, he sets hard screens and he has a mean streak which will develop more if he slips a little in the draft. I'd LOVE the Suns to nab him with #30 but he won't slip that far...

Mate I'm one of the truest bluest kiwi suns fans out there and I'd love to snag Steve at 30 from a Suns point of view but it just wont happen. Part of me wants him to make a big splash (which he will) and land somewhere that'll work for him, the other part wants him on my team regardless.I'd love to snag him anywhere to be honest, people question his drive but i know he's driven, he will be a monster in this league one day, I promise you.

Edit: prediction 10-14 after the inevitable rise

Also,

Hand length : 9.5
Hand width : 11

That's the biggest or 2nd biggest combined measurements in the combine. So yea, about those small hands..

Yeah he's a beast. Big frame, great genes, very young and definitely needs some pro coaching and he'll be a legit starter in a few years. He definitely doesn't shy away from contact and just needs to work on his touches around the hoop, ie go up strong and dunk it, stop flipping it up - same thing Asik struggled with initially. Big wingspan too, just hope the rep tests etc show he's better than the other big bodies he's being compared to.

Agreed PREMER, might be a lottery pick and I can see a team moving up for him for sure.

It's all about gaining experience with Adams, because he's not afraid to use his body. He showed great touch on his jumpshot at the combine while also winning all the sprints with ease.

He's already a better defender than a ton of NBA centers and is able to compete physcially as a 19 year old (kinda like Drummond).

When this kid figures things out I think he can be a two-way player.

My favorite prospect, has been for a while.

Yeah can't wait to see him get drafted, we don't get many Kiwis in the NBA let alone one who could be a lottery pick/have a nice long career.

The measurements ALL helped him and buzz is growing, very cool.

No doubt he's a top 10 pick maybe even top 5 if you watched him at the combine all the guys were drooling over him the called him the best center in the draft

Yeah that quip to the reporter who laughed at him was classic NZ response "What?! what are you laughing at?"

Half expected an 'egg' or 'ow' on the end haha

I'm amazed at how much more comfortable he is speaking to the media, you have to like his personality.

A few times during the interview you get the feeling he might have been trolling.

I had to go to draft page 5 to find this kid???

This guy has huge potential in a draft devoid of it... oughta be a lottery pick, if Alex Len is one.

I've now seen hinm at #10 in 2 or 3 mocks, and that's where POR picks, I thinks he's got great potentual, just not sure POR would take another project C after taking Leonard last yr
