Will there ever be a top 5 Senior ever again?

I was looking over the past drafts and saw that seniors in the top half are a dying breed. I know young guys just want to blow through college to get to the pros but will someone buck the trend? Kenyon Martin was the last #1 draft pick as a senior but since then the first senior has been -

2001 - #6 Shane Battier
2002 - #12 Melvin Ely
2003 - #7 Kirk Hinrich
2004 - #8 Rafael Araujo
2005 - #8 Channing Frye
2006 - #5 Shelden Williams (but really he should have been lower)
2007 - #11 Acie Law
2008 - #12 Jason Thompson
2009 - #11 Terrence Williams
2010 - #23 Trevor Booker
2011 - #10 Jimmer Fredette
2012 - #17 Tyler Zeller

On NBAdraft.net's highest senior in their mock draft is CJ McCollum at #8.

I suspect they will pop up occasionally, but it won't happen often.

After workouts I think McCallum will go top 5 but I don't see any next year.

wut? He's a sophmore next year.

Doubt we see a senior in the lottery next year... or even in the top 20.

Seems like its a waste to draft anyone older than 20 in the lottery anymore.

I don't see how that would happen, other than a David Robinson situation.

Lillard played 4 years but was injured one of them. He likely would have stayed all 4 years even if he hadn't gotten injured.

That list is pretty big indictment of taking Seniors high in the draft.

Makes absolutely no sense for a player to stay till senior year if he has any skills.
