Should Utah trade for Burke?

I have faith in Trey being an elite PG in this league, given this, should the Jazz trade Favors or Kanter (the retain Millsap or Jefferson) for him? they could get pick2 or 3 for sure and draft Trey, maybe they could get something else too.

I think Utah is looking to rebuild based on how they're letting Millsap and Jefferson walk (from the looks of it).
Maybe they do a sign and trade to go up and get Burke, but I really don't see why they would rush for him. With a stacked draft coming next year, they'll probably just go in tank mode while giving minutes to Favors and Kanter for experience.

Seems a little bit steep for Utah...

If they believe in Burke the way the OP does, then sure.

How could they pass up a Burke/Burks backcourt? Could be the best draft outcome since Gay/Love almost happened.

Two 1sts? AND Favors?
No.

Favors alone is worth any pick in this draft, plus extra from the other side. Burke would be a nice fit in Utah, but who would run the PnR with Favors gone? Kanter either posts up or plays PnP. No, Utah needs Derrick Favors. They need a point guard just as much, but they can't give up Favors to get the PG.

Aflallo is a decent scorer on a horrid team, and isn't even accurate at the 3. This is one of the most lopsided trade offers I've seen on Realgm. This would probably even be rejected on the Orlando board as being unreasonable.

Personally, I wouldn't give more than an expiring contract for Afflalo. And I'd say Favors is worth the #2. So it's seems generous to me.
Pure cap space + a mid-first seems the highest valuation you could possibly justify Afflalo. and Favors + mid/late first for #2 isn't outrageous. So I guess it's in the right ball park.

AA doesn't have great value due to his contract and inability to get his own shot.
I am not high on Favors or Kanter. If I'm Utah I'd trade one of them straight up for Burke. I like Burke, Haywood, Jefferson, Millsap with Kanter or Favors sticking around.

Maybe your definition of elite pg is different than mine but if it is possible to be elite and easily be in the bottom half of starting poing guards then yea I have faith. The Jazz should definitely not trade for a pick to draft Burke. Usually you get a very quick or athletic player at that size but he is lacking in both areas and it will hold him back greatly at the next level. Im not oppose to the Jazz trading Kanter though and grabbing a Mclemore or Oladipo and then drafting Schroeder at 14. That would be sometihng I would be for.

As a Cavs fan I would trade #1 overall for Favors + 14

I think the Jazz would be quite comfortable getting McCollum or Schroeder at 14, or Wolters at 21. One of those scenarios will be there for them. Burke isn't a superstar, he was mid lottery mocked nearly the entire year.

It just depends on how much they value Burke. If I were a Jazz fan, would I want my team to give up what it would take to get in range for him? I'd say no, but I'm not real big on Burke. I think as we get closer to draft day, it will be Schroder who teams will b trying to position themselves for.

As a Jazz fan, I like Burke, but I'm not crazy about him. I worry about him getting by his defender, and he doesn't seem to get all the way to the rim. I wouldn't give up Favors for anyone in this draft. The Jazz could probably trade Burks and #21 to get up to #9, where they can get McCollum, Schroeder or MCW if they want. Then they could pick up Glen Rice or Caldwell-Pope at #14. Or maybe they can do this and get Shabazz at #9 and Schroeder at #14.

AA has a great contract, great defender and 3pt shooter, he showed his limitation as the number 1 option this year, but their is no question that he can be a 2nd and 3rd option on a contender.
Should look at his Denver stats, people have short memory, this guy is a gym rat and a great team player

That is terrible for the jazz. I think Burke will be a solid pg but by no means elite.
