I don't understand why Ray McCallum (Detroit, JR., PG) is being pegged as a mid second-round player in this draft. He's a terrific athlete who is very coachable (coach's son), and has ran Detroit's offense the past 3 years. He has improved on his main weakness (shooting), and the numbers back that up.

Between that and his great combine numbers, I think he has the potential to turn into a second-round steal for some team. Your guys' thoughts?

I don't see him rising to the 1st, but if the right team picks him in the 2nd, he can stick.

I like Ray a lot. But (for instance) D-X has 11 PGs drafted in front of him in their latest Mock, and I honestly can't say I like him BETTER than any of those 11. The 2nd Rd PG who DOES seem to be rising on a lot of Mocks is ACC Player of the Year (a conference that HAD Shane Larkin and Lorenzo Brown), and D-1s leading scorer Erick Green. It's TOUGH to lead the nation in scoring out of the ACC - it was last done in 1957.

He lacks the handles to be a primary creator and doesn't have the elite athleticism to make up for it. In the right situation, he can be a Mo Williams type pg.

I just looked at the DX top PGs. (http://www.draftexpress.com/rankings/DX-2013-Draft-PGs/)

Honestly didn't realize how many good PGs there are in the draft this year until I saw this list. Here's the top 10:

1. Burke
2. McCollum
3. MCW
4. Schroeder
5. Larkin
6. Erick Green
7. Wolters
8. McCallum
9. Pierre Jackson
10. Canaan

I'm not a huge fan of MCW, but that's just my opinion. I think you make a great point about Erick Green. His numbers/efficiency really do show how much he's been overlooked.

Ultimately it will come down to opportunity/situation/work ethic. These guys all have the talent to do something in the league, but not all of them will.
