Its not close, never has been. Hes a natural PF. He guards 3-4 positions very well in college and can guard 3s/4s in the NBA. However, he is a PF and needs to continue to develop as one.

But does he have the length to guard NBA PFs, much less at an elite level?

He has a longer reach than guys like Vonleh & Randle but they're obviously bulkier.

Randle isn't really touted up for his defensive capabilities, and Vonleh's defensive praise probably stems from rebounding.

Reach =/= wingspan

WAY overhyped. Tweeners have trouble in the NBA.

Absolutely. He isnt as long as you would like for a standard PF, but his defensive skills make up for that. He isnt going to be able to stand straight and block shots, but he does a great job using his body and angles to force the offensive player into bad spots or ugly shots.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

Gordon would be insane not to declare. Unlike most the other picks, he is getting picked 100% on athleticism. A knee injury like Noel suffered would drop him into the late first or early second round.

Yeah, he'd be this years Glenn Robinson III if he doesn't leave and fool some team.

all i see between the 2 is active bodies and team first guys.

I personally think Aaron should leave now and try correcting his flaws under NBA level tutelage. So much work needs to be done on his game and i think it would be easier to get that without as much scrutiny as another year in school under the spotlight might put on him.

To me, he's the forward version of Victor Oladipo: raw, uber-athletic, and extremely positive intangibles. Where he is right now, Kenneth Faried is a pretty accurate comparison, but with tons of work he can be so much more, which is why Blake Griffin comparisons have also come up.

His athleticism, BBIQ, intangibles have him a top 10 on some boards, while his very raw skillset has him outside the lottery on others.

So a faried-griffin cross on o but better than both on D

How is his rebounding
