yea, wish there was a better option for them other than having to move across the world for a year, but at least it's something...

Curious if anyone is going to take the 125k route for the G League? 125k for 5 months of playing ball aint too bad of an option. Just the travel sucks and the exposure is bad.

Too much to lose for really what amounts is 40k. Playing against grown men when only a couple really could compete in the nba immediately is risky.

Haha are you subtracting out college tuition costs to get to $40k as if being forced to take a semester's worth of sham classes to be eligible to play has any inherent value? The main financial benefit of going pro early would in fact be reducing risk by immediately being able to sign endorsement deals.

Taxes. Being a athlete your killed in taxes. In the nba you can get at least league min based on potential, once you go g league you start getting chinks in your armor.

Fischella wrote:Nah, not only due to ANGT, I have been watching him with Gran Canaria's Junior team as well

And no, this was not the worst of all ANGTs lol, there was a bunch of talent there in Valencia

And nope, Avdija is obviously not a guard lol

I would take Juan Nuñez over Hayes and Maledon too, without thinking much

1) How exactly does one follow games of Gran Canaria's junior team?
2) If this wasn't the weakest ANGT, then which ANGT do you consider weaker?
3) I haven't seen Avidija with the Maccabi senior team, but at junior level he certainly played as a guard, at least for certain parts of a match. FIBA has him listed as a guard for their U20 tournament last year (https://www.fiba.basketball/europe/u20/2019/player/Deni-Avdija) and Mike Schmitz described him as a "power forward on defense and a point guard on offense" (https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/27281239/deni-avdija-polarizing-top-draft-prospect-2020). Which player would be a good comparison in your opinion?

Want to show Josh Giddey to you guys. He's one of Australia's brightest young prospects with legit NBA potential. Currently with the NBA Academy, believe with offers from Arizona, TCU, Iowa State, Utah, Rutgers, and more. I don't think the below footage really does him justice, I've seen better plays from him, but there's a few clips from National Champs, FIBA Oceania's, and NBL1 (2nd tier mens league in Australia where he's versed many current NBL (they play there in the off-season) and fringe NBL guys).

;t=3s

6'7 PG, exceptional feel for the game and great court vision. Can hit the 3 and has nice touch at the rim. A little bit more of an in depth breakdown can be found here (don't mind the Doncic comparison in the headline, just a bit of Australian homerism there from the author, not me) -

https://pickandroll.com.au/could-josh-giddey-be-australia-answer-luka-doncic/

I'm super intrigued to see this guy at the next level of competition (sounds like it'll be the college route for him). He's dominated every-time he's suited up for National Championships or for Australia in junior FIBA events, and been a standout for the NBA Academy at all their events. Hopefully we'll see him at the Hoop Summit and in 2021 in FIBA u19's.

He's an average athlete, decent burst in the open court, plays functionally below the rim, and will need to improve his frame and physicality in time (physical archetype and overall game is much closer to a LaMelo than a Doncic), but his PG play is pretty exceptional, imo. He has great vision and execution as a passer, just a really smart, high feel guy, and I feel like at that size it's pretty rare.

Hasn't had much exposure up to this point but I would expect to see him hitting a lot of draft boards in time.

Not sure if Suggs in fact goes to Gonzaga, but good selection by him, would be the guy there in a team loaded with bigs, they may need some reinforcements in the perimeter if Kispert and Ayayi go pro though

Giddey from above just one MVP of the 2020 Torneo Junior Ciutat de L’Hospitalet for NBA Academy.

Watched most of the games, he was really impressive.

They measured him at just under 6'7 without shoes as well.

Unfortunately they just put his scoring in this package - his passing was way more interesting.

I watched Cunningham today. He looks like a potential superstar but he has some pain points I want him to work on at OK State like dealing with pressure full court.

early top 5 for 21

Mobley
Cade
Green
Garuba
Todd

imma be honest, i might take every single one of these guys over any of player in '20, still a lot of time left obviously but that's my feeling right now.

If Memphis gets Green they are going to have too many cooks with him, Boogie trying to be a guy even if he is not, Quiñones who is good, Baugh promising, they have Isaiah Stokes coming in who will likely start at C, Jeffries... the small guards Harris and Lomax, Penny has put talent together no doubt

Victor wembanyama, the future French Freak !!! His last 2 highlights at the Youth Euroleague competition (highest level at the U18 in Europe).
Btw, he's still 16yrs old ...

Wembanyama is legit. Very impressive prospect, maybe the best one out in Europe atm. Could be (crude comparison) the next Porzingis.
