I brought this dude up last December and I just want to give him another mention on this thread. Caleb Lohner I think will be a name mentioned for a 1st round pick for the 2022 draft. He's heading to Utah next year, I dont think he will be a OAD, but I do think he will be gone after his 2nd. Most places have him ranked somewhere between 90-140, so he is a good prospect but not an elite one in most people's eyes. But damn this dude is a strong 6'6-6'7 wing with a legit perfect shooting form. I think he is going to get talk as a late 1st rounder for one of those elite catch and shoot guard/wings that we usually see 2-3 go in the 1st round.

^Yeah he looks good to me. Size/stroke/athleticism. Very impressive.

Not official yet, but many believe Jonathan Kuminga is going to reclassify. Here is a video of his for those that haven't seen him yet.

If Kuminga does reclassify, hot dog there will be a ton of high rated wings headed into college.

Kuminga (6'8)
Cade (6'6)
Green (6'5)
Johnson (6'8)
Clarke (6'7)
Ziarie (6'7)
Barnes (6'8)
Boston (6'6)

yea, looks like a pretty ridiculous wing class at this point, which is needed given that the 20 class is pretty **** on the wings.

Its weird how a lot of these classes become stacked in certain positions.

2018: class of the bigs
2019: class of the wings
2020: looking to be the class of PGs/CGs
2021: looking like another class of wings

yea, agreed...it's gonna be interesting to see how 19 and 21 wing classes match up...

im kinda iffy on the 2020 class tbh, the guards/cgs look pretty good but other than that it's meh in terms of top talent and depth, but it's still super early obviously.

Ya I'm not in love with 2020 depth. I really like the guard group, but either than that ya I'm not a big fan of any of the bigs and the wings are weak. I'll admit I'm really high on Cole Anthony so that keeps me somewhat high on 2020. But ya I can see it becoming somewhat of a dud though.

2021 for me is hard not to get excited about, especially if Kuminga reclassifies. Even if half of the wings bust, that is still a damn good wing/big guard group. And you have practically all the different kinds of guys in that group.

Top tier point forward with Jalen Johnson. Huge PG/1-3 with Cade who can do practically everything. Kuminga would be that raw athletic wing with the perfect measurables. You got some shooters with Ziarie and Boston. I really like the variety of that group as of right now. But again people were head over heels for Cam and Little with this last class and we saw what happened there. But ya as of right now, really looking forward to this class.

I've legit yet to be thoroughly impressed with Cade which is weird for me given my love for high IQ players. I may just need to see more of him but if he's had problems turning the corner at this level against PGs i'm a bit leery of that going forward and if he's playing the 3 for you i'd take Barnes over him at this point.

Hes definitely not a stand out athlete. I just think his feel for the game is on an elite level for a 17 year old. His shot isn't consistent yet but he has good form and should be a solid shooter. He just toyed with everyone on the summer circuit this year, I thought the gap between his level of play and everyone else was pretty big.

Ya I get that. I think he is going to have that level of feel for the game that the lack of top tier athleticism won't hurt him, but ya definitely get the fear of translating.

With his brother being hired at Oklahoma State, I think most feel like they're the easy favorites. UK was up there for a little and Duke began to kick the tires as well, then his brother got hired at OSU and UK turned and landed Clarke and Boston. I know Cal is still recruiting him, but UK is looking too crowded now. Duke landed Johnson and Roach, plus are going hard for Kuminga and Ziarie, so no on them. I know UNC is trying as well, but I think ultimately he ends up at OSU with his brother.

Cade reminds a little of Cam in HS, a worse physical profile but a more heady and consistent player

Would he ultimately be the best player on that team coming in?

I know i saw him somewhere on the board but i can't remember which thread anywho…..

thoughts on Evan Mobley?

Also for those that have seen him, how close playing style wise to Thon is Makur? I don't see the same energy level from cuzzo as i do from Thon and i think that's major especially if Makur is attempting to go the KD over AD route as well.

Lastly, i wanna state early and jump out on this limb that Moses Moody has the chance to be an ideal fit in the league.

On OSU? Unless they land some good transfers, without a doubt. In the last 3 years they have signed only 1 top 100 recruit and he is going to be a freshman this year and he is not a guy that is going to make an impact anytime soon. I know they signed a borderline top 100 guy for the class that Cade is in as well. OSU was horrible last year, and their 3 best players this year will all be graduating at the end of the year.

I honestly think that is the reason Cade hasn't signed with OSU yet, that team is going to be really really bad. It will essentially be Fultz at Washington 2.0.

which could either be a showcase or an exposure depending on that jumper i would think.

Cade probably goes to UNC. And he would be the best player on UK, Duke, Unc. He's top 2 pick no doubt
