Kyle Wiltjer

What do you guys think of him? I've been following him since watching him play in high school. 5 star that got stuck behind lottery picks at Kentucky and is now killing it at Gonzaga.

He never gets any attention as far as draft talk goes. It is pretty obvious why. He is 22 years old, turning 23 in October, not athletic, and needs to put on weight. I think Wiltjer can be a jackpot 2nd round pick. Let me tell you, this kid can SHOOT! He might be the best shooter in the country. He simply does not miss. Look him up on YouTube. He can be an incredible stretch 4. He needs more size, but he's 6'10 and can shoot from anywhere. His touch around the hoop is also fantastic as well.

What do you guys think? Do you think he can be a big impact 2nd rounder? Will he make a good stretch 4 despite his physical flaws?

If he could add the weight he could be a Matt Bonner but without it more Ryan Kelly.

Anyone remember Keith Van Horn who used to play for the Nets? That's who he reminds me of. Kid can definitely shoot and has skills, but my impression when watching him - even when Dickie V was touting him at Kentucky - was he's too soft to excel in the NBA. But who knows - for the right team in the right circumstances (and the right weight trainer), he could be effective. I have more hope for Sabonis - even though he's even skinnier and doesn't have the range at this point.

I think Van Horn was equally as unathletic as Wiltjer. He was a stretch 4 before it became popular.

Wiltjer is a stiff, Van Horn was a fluid athlete, not a jump out of the building athlete, but he quick, he moved much better while been at least 20 pounds heavier.
Van Horn is a better ballhandler as well.
Kyle is a nice player, but his future is in Europe, like his dad before him.

Ok, I should have said when I was making the comparison it was to Van Horn towards the end of his career.

KVN was a good ball player and dominate college player. Not even close. But Kyle has NBA borderline skills.
