Thoughts on where he will go in the draft, and how he will do in the NBA?

Should watch a lot of Danny Green, ball whipper though and worser on-ball D. 25-31.

Wait he's only 6'5? I thought he was at least 6'7. Wow. Those post moves seem much more impressive now.

Second round draft pick. Izzo doesn't develop a skill set for the NBA. He develops a skill set to win college basketball games. That's why he doesn't put more players in the league. Guys like Bell, Anderson and Lucas had to go overseas to learn the game and later made it to the NBA. Bob Knight faced similar criticism throughout his career at Indiana. Amazingly, both coaches were responsible for top notch programs that contended regularly for Big Ten championships and were often contenders for NCAA titles, as well. I'll take that kind of coach any day though.

I think he will go late first round, early second, but then he will prove everybody wrong who passed up on him.

Killer triple double tonight. It's going to be interesting to see how he performs going forwards.

I can see him being what Royce White was supposed to be, or what Boris Diaw was/is as a pro.

He has to be the leader for POY right now. He's doing everything, and could be a top 15-20 pick when it's all said and done.

I like the comp to Danny Green. But I think he's a better playmaker/ball-handler than Green and has a bit more off the bounce juice than Green who's more of a straight line guy. Think he's somewhere between Evan Turner and Batum.

Definitely a better passer. Don't think he handles much at the next level, though.

Denzel Valentine was the #81 ranked prospect in the national coming out of high school. No reason he couldn't have a been a late 3rd round NBA draft pick if Izzo hadn't ruined his career.

That's kinda not what Izzo gets paid for though.

As for Valentine, loving what i'm seeing from him so far. If he keeps this up he's going to be a late 1st pick for sure.

Great college player. Not sure how well his game translates to the pros. Probably be a late 1st early 2nd. Won't be surprised to see a smart franchise like the Spurs or GS pick him up.

He is not as quick or athletic as Danny was, he reminds of a more under control and better shooter Evan Turner, which is a really good role player

He's currently averaging 20/9/9 with shooting splits of 49/45/80, whilst shooting 7.8 three pointers a game (at 44.7% click).

If he keeps this up, he's going earlier than a late 1st round. Yes, It'd be unrealistic to expect him to keep this up, but just pointing out that if he somehow kept this up, he'd be taken earlier for sure.

I cant see him going anytime before 20. Hes great against college opposition, but hes just not that quick or athletic. That tends to be a problem for guards in the NBA. Hes either going to be a bench or role player that everyone forgets about unless hes on your favorite team. Or he can pull a Danny Green and find a team with the perfect system for him where he can end up being a really solid role player.
