2018 NBA Draft
Guys, do you know any prospects beside DeAndre Ayton, the 2018 draft is gonna be a deep draft?

Re: 2018 NBA Draft
Its a bit early to Tell.
Right next to Ayton there is Bagley jr who could end up even the even more special Prospect. Where Ayton projects as a Blend of Dwight,Duncan and Towns.. Bagley projects as a even better KG(more Perimeter Skils. legit 3 Point Rainge added to Garnett.. scary)
Then you have Kevin Knox who looks a bit like a Mix between Giannis/T-Mac and KD.
After that i think its too early

Re: 2018 NBA Draft
There are two elite prospects in this draft Ayton and Bamba. Many of the recruiting gurus are already considering Bamba the better Prospect and 2 years from now I think Bamba will be the way choice. 6'11 with a 7'9 wingspan and a 9'6 standing reach. Elite defender and shot blocker, very good athlete for his size. He is now starting to put on muscle. Also has great hands and a good shooting touch.

Bamba has UNREAL measurements. He is a full year and more older than his class though.

As usual, some french talents :
Yves Pons : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bx2EIkLcnoE
Jayden Hoard : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjo3yfUePUg
These two guys played the International Jordan Classic Brand last yr, Hoard was the mvp.
Then, you have Frank Ntilikina : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbjVSOTiDKg HUGE PROSPECT !! actually number 7 in most of the mock drafts

And probably Jonathan Jeanne too because I doubt he'll be ready for the NBA in 2017.
Those 4 prospects are huge, I predict a big draft for french players in 2018 too

On the other hand, Jonathan Jeanne doesn't need to be ready for the NBA to go into the draft. He could go into the 2017 draft as a draft&stash pick. Anyway, I'm a huge believer that he needs to go to the NBA asap, he'll gain more weight in 3 months in an NBA program than in 3 years in France. And he'll get more playing time/experience in the D-League than in France.

Re: 2018 NBA Draft
A lot of size in this class. The top 60 American High School prospects are littered with guys 6'10 and up. It will be interesting to see the movement this summer.

It is obvious that Jeanne needs to work physically, I don't know what would be better for him, cause he has a lot to improve in his skills too.
He's the most talented seven footer I ever seen in France but he's still very raw. I wouldn't want him to waste his talent by declaring too early for the NBA draft. He's in a good environment in Le Mans

By watching the U17 World Championship Collin Sexton form US looked like a huge prospect for 2018, better than his teammates Knox and Carter to me, and Shi*tu from Canada who is a very athletic PF

Re: 2018 NBA Draft
Usually the strength of these drafts are predicated on the strength of the freshman class. The 2017 high school class has major strength at the top with Ayton, Bamba, Porter, and Duval.
After that the next 4-5 recruits have the potential but not sure how good they'll be yet.
I'm not sure on Knox yet. Really haven't had a chance to watch him yet.
Wendell Carter I think has a little too much Thon Maker in him. 6-10 but thinks he's a guard too much.
Hamidou Diallo one of the best slashers we've seen but he's only 6-4, not even sure he's that tall, and his shot needs work.
Billy Preston at 6-10 thinks he's a guard too much as well for being 6-9 or 6-10.
A huge riser right now is Collin Sexton. 6-2 combo guard. Has been destroying camps this summer leading just about every camp and tournament in scoring. Just got done leading U17 USA team to Gold. He'll be one to watch.

Hope the Suns can land a hometown hero to save our fledgling franchise. Him or Ayton

Bagley, Ayton and Bamba look like franchise player big men prospects. All with really different styles of play as well

That boy Bagley can ball. I saw him play with Barcelo his freshmen year at Corona against Desert Vista, and I haven't seen anyone that talented in-state in a long time, not even Nick Johnson, and that guy was dunking all over my little brother's middle school team back in the day lol.

I was hanging out with Ayton's Mom when the two played each other at EYBL a few months ago. Bamba came out hard but I thought Ayton was the better talent (one thing that bothered me was that he has a strange way of running). Bamba doesn't really have any moves at all but is a very good athlete. But they both looked like good prospects, I just preferred Ayton. There was some kid that dunked on Bamba so hard it was insane, he also had a great game too in front of Calipari etc. I just can't remember his name. I'll go check the packet later
Was also impressed with how athletic Bagley was but also didnt like how he seemed to shy away from contact on the boards at times. Seemed like he was trying to develop his game his passing but it still needs work. Overall, he had a lot of tools and could be very special.

I can totally understand why someone would prefer Ayton over Bamba. When I say I think Bamba is the better prospect, that in no way is me trying to say anything negative about Ayton. I think Ayton is an elite prospect. He moves well for his size, inconsistent jumper but the form is solid. Not a huge leaper but definitely is a quick jumper. Plus the dude is freaking massive. Has great two way potential.
But to me Bamba is the best high school prospect I have seen since Anthony Davis. I actually think Bamba is a better defender than Davis was at the same time. Davis had the better offensive game though. Bamba is just freakishly long plus really athletic. Then you add in that he has great instincts on defense and shot blocking. I also like his offensive potential because of his soft touch and super soft hands. Again both elite prospects, just love Bamba's freakish potential. In the game in between Bamba and Ayton I thought Bamba had the better game and looked like the better player in my opinion. Bamba had 13 and 12 with 2 blocks. Ayton had 7 and 5
And Im with you on Bagley. If I were to draft any player who is in high school right now I might go with Bagley. The dude has crazy potential
