Tbh, I don't think I'd pick him if he fell to 7 unless he's there was something more to him unless he was really showing things he hasn't shown previously in workouts.

The "have to" is the key part. That makes him undraftable in the lottery to me - certainly if you haven't got access to his medical report. It's always a concern with backs as they seem to never really come completely right.

To be honest I am a bit fed up with this drama about M. Pr. Jr. Hope he falls to the Chichago as intended and then we see if he has it and if not just lol

MPJ could stay 100% healthy and still be out of the league in 4 years, it's really playing Russian roulette with this pick

knicks need to take him if he is there at 9 and let him sit out the year. Its a lost season with KP injury. Do bad this coming season for another pick...then you go into 2019 with KP, MPJ, Ntlinka, another lotto pick, THJR....not a bad core for the future to build around

Michael Porter Jr – Pete Maravich/Rashard Lewis

One of the top recruits at start of 2018 who fell off during the season. His jumpshot is at an elite level already for a 6’10 player. His jumpshot release and set shot is similar to Pete Maravich of the 1970s. He projects as more of an undersized power forward in the league. He has pretty solid basketball i.q. and should be able to play decent minutes as long as he stays healthy. His ball handling is pretty average and I think he will likely improve in this area and be able to beat defenders off the dribble as he matures. A major weakness right now is his body which ties in with his next weakness. He will hopefully get much stronger with help of Nba trainers and be able to play a full and productive season. His other major flaw is kind of an attitude and lack of physical toughness. His injury this past season was always kind of questionable. Missing an entire season is not unusual, but D1 basketball is nowhere near as tough as the Nba. One has to wonder if he simply didn’t want to play in college and rather forged his way to be drafted in the Nba top 10 without any body of work. With Kawhi and Kyrie forcing their ways off teams due to injury, one has to wonder if Porter could do the same. No doubt he’s a star talent though.

Trae Young – Steve Nash/Tyus Jones

One of the biggest names in college this year. Young is probably the most skilled player in the draft behind Doncic. Has an arsenal of dribble moves, step back jumpshots, floaters. Is comfortable running an offense in the half court. A superb three point shot that he can pull up from almost the half court line. One of the hardest working players who will minimize his weaknesses. He doesn’t have great explosiveness or length. This causes him to be a below the rim finisher and have difficulty creating separation. He might be more of a complimentary star in the league than a franchise player. His defense also projects to be below average at the next level. That being said, he will likely have a long Nba career and play a huge role on offense with the team that drafts him.

Yeah, MPJ could very well get a GM fired if he's picked too high. I assume that's why his camp doesn't want to give out the medical info. Even if he's healthy, the idea that he has to sit out this year is insane. I'm a Wiz fan, and we need immediate help and I'd probably hesitate picking him at 15 at this point.

Medical is just a medical. The CT could look good and fully healed.

The fact is that he injured his back his sophomore year. Then again in college. He has played 2 years of basketball his last 4 years. Back injuries are no joke.

I'm reading that Cleveland is considering jumping us (Chicago) to get him and that Dallas is interested in him as well.

Cavs are taking Porter 8th, people around the league believe Bulls pass and take WCJ.
