Predict the Top 10

Post#1 » by jonjames » Mon May 15, 2017 2:21 am

We are few days from lottery..predict the order of top 10. Dark horse for #1 pick? Any trades?

1. Phoenix-Lonzo Ball
2. Boston-Markelle Fultz jimmy butler trade???
3. Philadelphia-Josh Jackson
4. Orlando-Jayson Tatum
5. New York -De'aaron Fox
6. Minnesota-Lauri Markannen
7. Dallas Mavericks-Frank Ntilikina
8. Philadelphia 76ers-Dennis Smith jr *Sacramento
9. Sacramento Kings-Malik Monk
10. Charlotte Hornets-Johnathan issac

I have lakers out of my top 3..of course I'm fully aware they stand a good chance of keeping their top 3 pick bc they are the Lakers and the nba needs them to be relevant again asap. If however they are in top 3 I believe Lonzo Ball is an almost guaranteed lock pick for them. Outside the top 3 I believe the Sixers and Magic have a pretty decent shot at #1 pick.

Another conspiracy theorist rises from the ashes.

To have a top 10 and not include the Lakers pick seems a bit off. Plus, the sixers will not fall to 8 and New York will get a lower pick than the Wolves if both do not make top 3. My top 10 based on current standings (before draw):
1. Boston - Markelle
2. Suns - Ball
3. Lakers - Jackson
4. Sixers - Fox
5. Magic - Tatum
6. Wolves - Markannen
7. Knicks - Smith Jr
8. Sac - Monk
9. Mav - Isaac
10. Sac (via Pelicans) - Collins

Philadelphia can't have 3 and 8, if the Lakers fall outside the top 3 and 7 is the lowest possible outcome for the Sixers pick. Orlando can't get to 4, New York can't get to, 5, Dallas picking at 7 is impossible and Charlotte is either outside the top 10 or in the top 3.

Ah I see well then im just all out of order arent I. :) I thought the Sixers could directly swap picks with the kings higher pick without any considerstion of what order the kings pick would have to be. If charlotte isn't in 10 I'm assuming it would be new Orleans instead? Thanks for the clarification/reference.

No problem. There's no restriction on the swap (they can't swap with the New Orleans pick), but only 3 teams can jump the Sixers so the 7th pick is the worst outcome for the Sixers pick on itself. The Sixers will obviously won't swap if the Sixers' own the higher pick.

Yes, New Orleans had the 10th worst record, so Sacramento will pick at 10 (Cousins trade) if neither of the 5 worst teams jump into the top three.

Well that didn't age well.
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

Kings have like 5 SGs, maybe putting Anunoby higher is an option if the front office feels he's a fit
