That would be crazy thing for Philly to do.. Butler odds are would never resign.. Odds are he would be hurt if Philly made the playoffs same with Lowry.

Good discussion, you guys would have more responses on this thread if it was moved to the Trade board.

So they can take Josh Jackson who almost assuredly will be less of a player than Jimmy?

Why is Boston out on a Butler? I would think Ainge would still consider moving the first pick but even if no team was willing to give up a top pick in this draft wouldn't some combo of the 18 Nets, 19 Memphis, Brown, Crowder, Smart, Yabusele, Bradley, or other picks be enough for the Bulls to consider? I honestly don't think Butler will get moved, both him and Wade will be on the team next year.

Why is it almost a guarentee that Jackson will be less of a player? If he can develope his outside jumper won't he have a complete game? I mean Butler isn't a great outside shooter to begin with.

Now come back to reality and try a different trade scenario.

I think that a Butler-for-#3 trade is plausible, but more as a 3-way with either Portland or Minnesota:

1. Blazers trade McCollum, 15/20 pick for Butler; Sixers trade #3 & Okafor for McCollum, Bulls draft Jackson and get the local Okafor.

2. Wolves trade Dunn, rights to Monk, future 1st for Butler, Sixers trade #3 & Okafor for Dunn & Monk, Bulls draft Jackson and get the local Okafor.

[quote="EvanZ"]I have a trade. Minnesota trades LaVine for the #3 pick. Philly gets the 7th pick. Minnesota selects Josh Jackson. Philly gets a potentially great player anyway. Maybe they end up with Isaac. Isaac and LaVine would be a great haul for Philly. Thibs gets his defender in JJ.

There is ZERO need for PHI to do that trade.

They aren't in a win now mode and Jackson could potentially be just as good as Butler except he will grow and develop on roughly the same timeline as Embiid and Simmons. Butler is a win now move and PHI is obviously not there. As for giving their 2017 + 2018, I would laugh off that trade proposal, flame away.
