No idea how this kid doesn't have his own thread yet, but he'll be opening eyes as soon as the season starts.

Jury is still out on him. I think we all know how skilled and talented the kid is. But if he continues with that half motor of his none of that will matter.

Yup thats the biggest question on him. If he shows he has a drive for the game off the court and a great motor on the court, well we could be looking at a legit 2 way stud. But if you told me 5-7 years from now hes struggling with weight issues and super inconsistent and is looking like a bust, I wouldnt be shocked by that either.

I'm a fan. Think he's going to be good. The motor thing is overblown and it's really just an excuse while they're in high school. It could just be learning to control conditioning throughout the game, which isn't usually brought up till college. And the college coaches are leagues ahead of high school coaches.

Takes a disciplined coach to bring it out. Maybe if Anthony Randolph had played for a better coach he would of been a star. Baylor has a lot of failures as well that should of been good

Thats why him choosing Zona and Sean Miller was such a great decision for him. Also Randolph wasnt close to the same prospect coming out of high school as Ayton is.

So is pretty similar to Myles Turner for example then? Haven't watched too much of him so could be way off base here.

He's more of a physical specimen than Turner, though they have some skills that overlap.

Ayton has almost David Robinson level athleticism.

Interested to see how his post fundamentals, roll to the rim and 3 point % as season progresses.

At this stage his go to seems to be a mid-range jumper.

I don't think he'll be playing because book Richardson is why he ended up at Arizona. Probably got a huge Adidas deal. If you look back at his recruitment he wanted Kentucky then changed abruptly and committed

Book did not recruit him. If anyone has anything to worry about it's Rawle Alkins.
