I like him, hes a skilled offensive guard for sure. I have him on the 2nd tier, 1st tier for me is Cam/RJ/Zion. I feel like those guys are just on a different level than Romeo. But I do think Romeo is going to have a good year in college and should be a solid top 5 pick for whoever picks him. The dude really knows how to put the ball in the basket.

i think romeo deserves to be on that tier IMO but yeah he def looks like a top 5 pick.

I've never seen much of Langford - is he more of a 2 or a 3? DX has him at 6'5, 6'10.5 wingspan, in which case I'd be inclined to say either spot.

From what I have seen, he does nothing eye-popping, but is a smooth scorer and obviously has the tools to be a good defender.

At this stage I would also have him in the 2nd tier.

Hoping he spends at least a year at IU even though one and dones are not our norm. He's got a shot at being the all time leading career scorer in the State of Indiana.

his team beat zion williamson last year. I am happy he is getting recognized here dude is a silent assassin . kind of like a kawhi mentality as early as his age he doesnt get hyped even if he throws down a facial or makes a step back 3 under pressure.

defensively he has the making of a great defender, i think this kid is a workhorse and will probably end up being the next elite SG

Workhorse is a lie.

Velvet-like smooth and pretty methodical. I see a lot of DeMar Derozan in him.

Reminds me of Rip Hamilton with better on ball skills.

Expect more like James Young. I'll be surprised if Langford lasted more than 3 years in the nba

Pretty harsh critique, you could at least elaborate on why with a claim like that.

Easy, he's a scorer with no other functional talent. Tools but not open to coaching. Name me one guy he locked up someone. Or a time he made teammates better. He's a great scorer but that's a dime a dozen.

Are you gonna provide some insight or what, how do you know he's not open to coaching?

You're not really contributing anything to this convo. Lots of us don't know much about the kid and you're just providing blanket statements.

Ya Langford isnt a great facilitator by any means but most SGs arent. He also isnt a lock down defender but he is a solid defender that shows pretty good consistency on that side of the ball and with his size and length, thats a good combo to predict a pretty good defender potentially. His biggest skill is being able to put the ball in the basket and he can do that in many different ways and is one of the best scorers in the class. I definitely cant see saying hes just a dime a dozen. Hes far from being a black hole on offense and from what Ive seen hes a willing passer, not every star has to be a tremendous facilitator. PG, Butler, DeRozan are more scorers first and throughout their careers have slowly gotten better at facilitating, I dont see anything in Langfords game that I can see that will prevent him from being a capable facilitator.

I also dont get the not open to coaching thing either, all the things Ive heard, hes a good kid that can even be on the quiet side and never heard any negatives when it comes to him and coaches. Like I said earlier in this thread, I dont have him as one of the top guys, but I still think he is a solid prospect.

He pouted the entire time during the u19. Didn't like any coaching from anyone. His dad claimed back, but suddenly got healthy days after, and recruiting analysts said he was just taking plays off. The blue bloods besides Indiana dropped him off the radar. I live 5 minutes away from him, this isn't just bs. Just going for the all time scoring record in the state rather than win. Aaron Henry going to Michigan st will be the better player.
