Troy Brown is still 18. It's not hard to project him growing to 6'8" and 220+ lbs. With his instincts, ball skills and length, his impact as a player could be comparable to Jimmy Butler, even if his shooting never becomes knock-down. Butler and Brown are already the same height w/o shoes.

If I pick the steal of the traft than Brown is the pick. Think Clippers get him.

I think you’re confusing Alize Johnson and Jimmy Butler.

..yes it is hard to magically predict that he'll grown an inch and end up 220+lbs. people stop growing at different stages, but NBA prospects usually don't grow more after college. I base this off of prospects I've previously scouted. Their KD and Nike camps from their sophomore years of HS are pretty much where they end up at the draft combine.

You and me both. To me he's got plenty of functional athleticism, great instincts, good size and strength (at 18) and solid mechanics on his shot.

He's my pick for player most likely to become a star after pick 10 or so.

Same here, he's my mid/late first guy who I like most. Could be the year's Mitchell imo.

His excellent reach somewhat makes up for his poor hops. Even at the college level he has to use his body as a shield to get his shots up on drives. This will be even more so necessary in the NBA. Probably busts if his jump shot never gets better. Being super young he should improve though.

Do you guys think he was a reach at 15? Wiz fans are **** on this pick lol especially when Robert Williams was there.

No, you’re going to love him. He has the same type of value Kelly Oubre had when you drafted him 15. Different skills, but where Brown lacks the size of Oubre and athleticism he makes up in skill and passing ability.

He doesn't lack the size of Oubre. He's got an inch on Oubre in standing reach coming out and about 8 lbs.

Well Oubre has a 7’2 wingspan and huge hands. In general he’s bigger, but yeah, it’s not much.

He was my favorite non-lotto wing.

Brown upside is higher
Oubre's lack of BBall IQ has always been a concern

sorry to say but yes. A really bad reach and head scratching pick. I understand the Wizards badly need a better 2nd unit because they fall apart when their big 3 are out so it's not bad to think about taking guards or wings. They just should have chosen different ones with both of their picks. They had the worst draft and will remain stuck in perpetual mediocrity. I hate that we picked Robert Williams but even he would have much a better pick, specifically for you, then Brown.
