I want to like Melvin Frazier so bad because he’s better than he even realizes, but he doesn’t watch basketball. He doesn’t like to watch basketball. He sees it as a job and wants to get paid. Every time he talks, he talks about just wanting to play his role. He doesn’t want to be great in the league, he just wants to get by. I just don’t belive he’s going to put in the time he needs to study other players and develop his own game. To me he’s a second rounder or a player that’s probably better suited for a championship contender that needs a little defense.

Damn, I'm high on the kid because of all his tangibles but.. you cannot teach or coach passion for the game which is essential. Its one thing to be humble and quite another to be complacent.

I’m surprised that Mikal Bridges hasn’t gotten the Tatum hype yet Doncic is rated as a cant miss.

Oscar, your post had nothing to do with the draft.

With the Rose history i think there is 0 chance that Chicago takes Porter jnr.

You don’t know Gar/Pax very well then. They love to make the same mistake twice.

Very true. Would be a real shame if they traded up and took the nonathletic white guy again...

If Memphis Grizzlies fans have their hearts set on Texas center Mo Bamba for Thursday night's draft, they may end up disappointed.

According to ESPN.com's Jonathan Givony (h/t John Martin of 92.9 ESPN Memphis), "Bamba has refused to come to work out for Memphis, refused to share his medicals and has told them openly he would prefer not to be in Memphis."

One of MPJ, SGA or Trae Young going to be the Cavs pick at 8 per some reports.

MPJ preferred choice.

Wagner at 17? That's pretty high. What's suggesting they like him?

Their GM likes Michigan guys. Apparently they loved him when he worked out for them. I’ve been hearing all year of scouts from teams talking about him as a possible lottery pick too. That’s why I’ve been doing some extra research and looking at a lot of tape of him. He’s a really good shooter and can become a really good offensive player. He knows how to use post moves, dribble moves and hesitations in combination and creates a ton of space at times. There aren’t many guys that can create space like that anymore. I actually really like him as a power forward/small 5.

I'm late to this, but this is scary if true.

Lets Ben honest, the Bucks need a lot of stuff. They need shooters, wings that can defend, bigs that can score, and just quality bigs (that can score, defend and rebound).

Let's be honest, the clippers arent a smart franchise and dont have a good FO/coaching staff, the odds are astronomically high they'll reach for someone that ends up being one of the biggest bust in the draft

First, I take offense to this comment. They were brilliant to trade Blake Griffin and actually get two lottery picks. And the made some good draft picks last year that should contribute next year. Also did a good job finding gems like Montrezl Harrell, CJ Watson and utilizing two-ways really well. If Doc has shown anything this year, it’s that he’s still a really good coach. They changed the entire playbook this year and started moving the ball a lot more. They even won with everyone injured in and out all season and a huge mid-season trade that let one of their best players go. Also with the inclusion of Jerry West, they brought in one of the smartest basketball minds in the NBA.

The odds are really low they draft someone who busts, especially because teams with a track record of drafting with the same type of strategy (getting athletic tough defenders) end up with really good teams.

There's a lot of smoke about Bagley going second overall now. Typically I don't trust pre-draft rumors but I think there's some legs to this.

Sactown does this I gotta wonder which young big is sent packing. Are they hiding how far Giles has come? is it time WCS leaves? Are they finished with Skal? something would have to give i would think.

Are they in a no-win kinda situation? Is Doncic being looked at as Bogdan part deaux or something and that's why they may skip him?

If they get a chance to draft Doncic and dont take him I think you have your answer in your post.
