So it looks like this kid might have his hand forced to stay in this draft if his NCAA ban isn't lifted or the threat of it continues beyond the early entry deadline.

What are people's thoughts on him? I know very little on him other than Youtube footage, so take this with a huge grain of salt... but he looks long and above average athletically, has nice form on his shot, good handle, good passer, seems unselfish to an extent, overall good scorer and playmaker, his defensive abilities look legit, calm demeanor, bad hair, solid bbiq and good feel for the game.

What range does he go?

What are some stylistic comparisons?

Ceiling?

Floor?

Barber giving him bad advice?

Yeah, that sounds like the impressions you get from Highlights. I watched a bunch of HS Games of him and he really doesn't stand out as a prospect to me. Had the ability to make shots at this level of competition but he never struck me as someone with a lot of next-level skills or a noticeably good feel for the game.

Shot form is decent but his shooting inconsitent – and that, along with okay-ish size, are his main selling points, imo. Unfortunately for him, that's not so much. Fairly limited as a creator – especially for others – and he has a scoring mindset without diverse scoring skills, making him relying on a streaky jumpshot way too much. Limited physically with uncertainty as to how his body matures, but he has struggled against size around the rim even in HS. Doesn't help that he can't really get in that area consistently either. Meh defender, some tools but nothing special whatsoever. I also wouldn't call him an above average athlete. At the HS level, sure, but that's not really saying much.

In order to have a chance to survive in the NBA he'll have to carve out a niche as an off-ball player who defends. That means working on his body, getting a really reliable jumpshot, and embracing a non-scoring/low-usage approach to the game while grinding defensively and working hard off the ball. Not impossible but it's a fairly high bar to get to given what I've seen of him in his HS years.
