I suppose. Based on stats I'd hedge Mannion would need to be the most unique guard ever to be a starting pg

Isn't it rare to have a shorter wingspan than your height? Do you think if Nash or Curry would have half an inch shorter wingspans, they are very different players?

Well first nico isn't that kind of shooter but still curry has a plus 3 wingspan and Nash a plus 4 wingspan. Both would struggle more without the extra length on close outs.

Not sure why they’re using the word vertical but...

Nico will be showcased on ESPN2 tonight @ 9pm EST. I assume there are good players on the opposing team also for it to be on ESPN.

This Jalen Green is something else. He's dominating right now. Nico also is 4-5 from 3. Great game so far!

I really like Green's combination of handle and athleticism for his size.

I wasn't aware he was the #1 player in the country when I posted

Why isn't Duke after him?

It seems like Duke has put all their eggs in the RJ Hampton basket for the guard spot. So they're tight with RJ and also Jalen Johnson. Just not worth trying to pull in all 3 I think.

Gotcha - we will take him but I'm sure he's probably a UCLA or USC lean at this point. I don't follow recruiting like I used too. :(

I dont get to into recruiting (where a player might go) until Duke shows some interest. But the last I remember, Penny and Memphis were supposed to be big time players with him.

Ya but think he came in too late for it though. Once OAD is over, Im curious how effective he will be.

Nico killed last night. Rare combination of scoring and vision/playmaking for a HS kid. I came away very impressed.

AZ is going to be good, no clue how they are gonna mix their Guards though, Nico can play off-ball some, Brandon Williams is good also

That team doesn't fit Miller's style though, it feels like a Beilein team roster wise

Williams-Smith-Barcello
Mannion-Armstrong/Doutrive
Green-Akot
Gettings/Lee
Jeter-Nnaji-Koloko

Brandon Randolph might leave, I guess? he is super old for a sopho and he is not going to improve his stock much, he is a solid shooter with quickness so maybe he can get a look late in the 2nd/a 2-way, he is also putting up numbers and he isn't gonna get as much exposure next year

And they might still get Majok Deng although they don't have any open scholarships

Arizona hasn’t played defense in 3 years so Idk what a “Miller Team” is anymore. It definitely won’t be a past Miller team based on having a do-everything PG. McConnell was great but limited and could never take over offensively.

Curry had a 1 1/2 inch wingspan at the pre-draft camp in 2009. Kyrie had a 2 1/4 inch plus wingspan at his pre-draft camp in 2011. And that is based on shoeless heights.

If they were going to fire Miller it would’ve happened already.
