Should the Bulls move the #1 pick (Zion) & Wendell Carter for Anthony Davis?

Post#1 » by GameBredAPBT » Tue Jan 15, 2019 2:10 am

Or should they give Zion the keys to the city? What say you? Keep the guy who could potentially bring THE franchise back to glory, or bring the Chicago kid back home in his prime? I think they should go all in on Zion & see how he fits with Lavine & Markkanen.

No. the package should be Zion, Parker, Dunn, LaVine and a future 1st for AD.

if I'm the Pels I want Carter Jr.

Plus, if you're the Bulls, keeping Carter Jr. and Davis doesn't make sense anyways. You'd want to keep LaVine.

No, I'm sticking with Zion. I've seen what AD can do you for a team without top end talent. I believe Zion can do more.

Even worse I think. But I think he was being sarcastic.

Why? You can make the argument that Zion is a better return than any other return that has been rumored. That seems like a big time over pay, unless a team offers a Simmons or Doncic. I would do Zion and WCJ just because you would have no need for WCJ.

If the Bulls land the #1 pick they should keep Zion and hope he can play the three. If he can(it's a question mark) then JFC!!!, the Bulls have a squad that will be looked as a future contender.

I disagree, I think WCJ is the perfect teammate for AD. Cousins and Ryan Anderson didn't work out with AD, because i think AD needs a Charles Oakley type of player rather than an offensive player to pair with him. Just look at Duncan, Pops always paired Duncan with a defensive big rather then a no defensive, offensive big.

I would give up Dunn and LaVine and make New Orleans take Parker. I would then go after Kyrie and Jimmy Butler in free agency (maybe even Durant)

If AD can be had for that package and is committed to re-signing then hell yeah they should do that. Zion is a great prospect, I get it, but he's still only a prospect with the typical uncertainty while AD is already a superstar in his early prime. This is an obvious choice to me.

Tough call, probably wouldn't just because I don't have confidence the Bulls surround him with a much better team than in New Orleans. They have more time with Zion and Carter as well as the rest of their young team to figure it out. They would have more cap room to play with as well.

I wouldn't because I feel like there wouldn't be enough talent around AD and he wouldn't be too happy/want to stay. Rather have Zion and use that cap space somehow.

Nope you hold Zion. Only way you trade him is if you have a very high chance at a title with him. Which they dont. Better to get Zion and hope he turns into a superstar at a time where the warriors arent this good anymore.

Teams like Chicago shouldn't move all their assets for one player, without a supporting class AD most likely walks. Few teams teams have enough talent and prospects to still contend with an AD trade.

Id do #1 and Wendell for AD as long as AD makes a promise to re-sign.

Then id stretch waive Felicio, and that gives Bulls room for 1 max to try (and fail) to convince KD or Kawhi to come to chicago.

Dunn
Lavine
KD/Kawhi
Lauri
AD

Or include Jrue Holiday and then Dunn and Lavine.

PG
Jrue
KD/Kawhi
Lauri
AD

It WONT happen, but thats the only way I give up assets for AD

He wouldn't leave the Pels to go to a similar situation.

He's going to a win now situation.

Technically its not up to him on where he goes. Chicago can trade for him and hope he pulls a PG and stays after the year is up. I dont think its worth the risk of giving up Zion for just 1 year of AD though. The only way I do that is if he tells me that he is going to sign long term.

if AD signs long term, yes, you have to.

you still have AD, LaVine and Markkanen to build around.

Include Lavine in the deal.
