I'm getting more and more excited about Kevin Heurter. That guy was an absolute steal of the draft. He still has many slumps, but if he manages to fix his 3PT, he can be lethal.

Young & Ayton really can't be compared, since skillset of one is a complete opposite of the other. But right now, it looks like Trae could have a higher impact on the game.

Any team have a better young core than Atlanta?

depends on what happens during the draft. But arguably NY, NO, CHI, PHO, ORL, and SAC are right there with ATL. It's nice to see the bottom feeders in the East getting all this young talent.

yea, but the best two, Zion and Luka, went to the West.

Why do they always do this after 1 year. If you did this the year after the first year for 2017, Fox was about 9th. It is way too soon to pass his kind of judgement.

Re-draft:

1. Phoenix: Young (defensive concerns, but SCREW it. Young-Booker would be the best offensive backcourt in the league)
2. Sacramento: Doncic (iffy fit with Fox, but that's their long-term SF all-star and franchise player)
3. Dallas: Jackson Jr (BPA)
4. Memphis: Bagley (they want to get away from grit n grind, so no Ayton here. Bagley instead)
5. Atlanta: Ayton (BPA)
6. Orlando: Sexton (they finally get their PG.. should've drafted Sexton from the start)
7. Chicago: WCJ (very tempting with SGA, but he's a good fit with Markkanen)
8. Cleveland: SGA (talent is going to drop)
9. Knicks: Mikal Bridges (gives them a very good 3&D wing)
10. Phoenix: Mitchell Robinson (gives them a defensive presence up front)
11. Clippers: Kevin Heurter (nice potential SG with good length)
12. Charlotte: Rodions Kurucs (good potential athletic SF/SG)
13. Clippers: Mo Bamba (BPA potential)
14. Nuggets: Miles Bridges (solid SF 3&D prospect)

Droppers of the lottery: Kevin Knox, Jerom Robinson, and Michael Porter Jr.
Biggest dropper: Mo Bamba -7
Biggest riser: Rodions Kurucs +32

Just having fun with it. Phoenix could go ether way with Doncic and Young, but I just decided to pick Young.

Still all in on Zhaire huh?
Robert Horry is better than MJ, because everybody knows that 7>6.

in 3 yrs if players begin to reach their potentials:
Luka
JJJ
Bagley
Sexton
Walker
Simons
SGA
Kurucs
Carter
Holiday

Found it! Right there, you have Holiday being a better player than Trae 3 years into their careers. no mention of defense or any other nonsense you are spewing.

You've been caught red handed!

Did you just skip by Kurucs in that list?

   wow, you're not even trying to hide your anti-Trae agenda.

what's there to hide? I never liked him as a long term prospect.
I will give him credit for showing enough floor general ability to stay in the league for awhile,
but I still have no delusions about him being anything more than he is right now going forward.
He won't ever be a good let alone league avg status as a defender, and that fact by itself
completely kills his chances of being the lead guard on a championship contender.
Add the proven struggle with his low release etc that made me hate him as a prospect in the first place.
If you are going to pick a pg prospect in the high lottery, I'd take the one farther away with less
ability but higher upside and better length, than the one I know will never reach a high level
on both sides of the ball.

  still a classic from Stillwater. Aging like milk.

says the man whos boy just got owned in game 2 lol hence the concerns I had with him as a prospect.
Granted I will give you props for seeing the state of the weakness of the league better than I did
when I expected opposing teams would demand fairness and
expect the games to be officiated on an even plane. I was wrong about that they all are weak.

I think I still prefer SGA over Young. Luka is obviously above both.

In hindsight

1. Luka
2. Young
3. SGA
4. Ayton
5. MPJ
6. Mikal Bridges
7. Miles Bridges
8. JJJ
9. Colin Sexton
10. DaVonte Graham
11. Time Lord
12. Brunson
13. Hurter
14. Gary Trent

Pretty tough. I think top 2 is obvious and 3-5 is obvious and then top 9 is obvious. 10-20 there’s tons of reasonable answers

My original board from 2018:

1. Luka
2. JJJ
3. Miles
4. Trae
5. Ayton
6. MPJ
7. Bagley
8. Huerter
9. Zhaire
10. Knox
11. WCJ
12. RobWill
13. Bamba
14. Okogie
15. Shai
16. Mikal
17. Melton
18. Lonnie
19. Troy
20. Hutchison
21. Jacob Evans
22. Bruce Brown
23. MitchRob
24. Spellman
25. Shamet
26. KBD

Re-Draft

1. Luka
2. Trae
3. MPJ
4. Shai
5. JJJ (still rolling with him)
6. Ayton
7. Mikal
8. Huerter
9. Miles
10. RobWill

Obviously missed on Shai and had Miles too high, but feel pretty good about where I had Huerter!
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.
