I saw this video and thought it was pretty accurate and very well done! Got me thinking, who would most of you have as the top 10 picks now if there was a redraft?

It's still very early and a lot will change but as of right now my lottery would probably look like this

1) Luka Doncic
2) Trae Young
3) Jaren Jackson Jr.
4) Marvin Bagley
5) DeAndre Ayton
6) Wendell Carter Jr.
7) Shai Gilgeous Alexander
8) Mikal Bridges
9) MItchell Robinson
10) Kevin Heurter
11) Mo Bamba
12) Kevin Knox
13) Landy Shamet
14) Collin Sexton

Statistically Knox and Sexton are up there, but not a big fan of either of them

It kinda fits my board originally honestly (other than been to low on Carter) so this one is easy, I don't like to do re-drafts at least until everybody is up for a contract extension, so 4 years after, and things will change still, but as of now;

Wendell Carter Jr.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
DeAndre Ayton

Miles Bridges
Mikal Bridges
Kevin Huerter
Zhaire Smith
Josh Okogie
Jarred Vanderbilt
Robert Williams
Rodions Kurucs
Kevin Knox
Mo Bamba
Lonnie Walker IV
Mitchell Robinson
De'Anthony Melton
Aaron Holiday
Landry Shamet
Collin Sexton
Troy Brown Jr.
Džanan Musa
Kenrich Williams
Bruce Brown Jr.

Donte DiVincenzo
Isaac Bonga
Hamidou Diallo
Gary Clark
Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk

9) Collin Sexton
10) Mikal Bridges

I'm getting more and more excited about Kevin Heurter. That guy was an absolute steal of the draft. He still has many slumps, but if he manages to fix his 3PT, he can be lethal.

Young & Ayton really can't be compared, since skillset of one is a complete opposite of the other. But right now, it looks like Trae could have a higher impact on the game.

biggest jump for me is Doncic obviously...had him 6th or 7th but he'd obviously get drafted 1st overall. JJJ would go second.

I really don't get the love for Mikal Bridges. It's beyond me what people believe could be his ceiling. You'd actually take Mikal Bridges over Mitchell Robinson after seeing both of them play?

Magic should have taken SGA. No way Knox goes 7 from what we've seen so far. But Mitch might. I'd probably go:

Doncic
JJJ
Bagley
Trae
Carter
SGA
Ayton
Mitch
Bridges
Huerter

For my top 10.

The biggest disappointment is definitely DeAndre Ayton. Yesterday's Suns loss to Cavaliers in Ohio made me thinking for a while. Ayton made a few nice possessions at the beginning of the game and then he just disappeared. He was completely lost on the court, every defensive position he was caught on the wrong foot. No fouls, no blocks, no deflections, nothing. When he's setting PnR's, it never results in good looks. On the other side, Cavs were having a dunk party, alley-ops flying everywhere, it was crazy. I think he really needs some veteran help, I would even bring Dwight Howard (i know what you guys think of him) or Tyson Chandler back for one season as a back-up on a minimum vet contract.

Trae surprised me. In summer league he literally couldn't do anything inside 3PT line. Even though he was quick, he just couldn't get enough separation to lay it in. He got blocked a lot. And not to mention his 15% 3PT shot. He really improved in all categories now. I hope Atlanta will build their future around triangle Young-Huerter-Collins, although I am more a fan of 7ft/250lbs "fives".

Mavs traded a whole team since Luka arrived to get KP. They should pull a trigger on Julius Randle this summer (he expressed his wish to play in Dallas in media) and then go for someone big, I would try to throw a max on Klay Thompson. I know its a dream, but sometimes dreams become reality.

So yeah, its gonna be a fun ride to watch these and also many other rooks in next seasons.

you're not gonna be able to judge Ayton until the Suns get a legit PG. Booker is not it.

Which PG is legit enough? Please check this list:

https://hoopshype.com/2019/02/08/nba-free-agency-2019-point-guards/

and throw me a few realistic names.

P.S.: I see only Terry Rozier, but I think he is on the radar of many teams because he is on a cheap contract.

i'd make a play at Tyus Jones and get Ja or Garland in the draft.

If Suns win a lottery again and they get that 2019 NBA Draft No.1 pick again, they will be in a kind similar position like last season (with not really a lot of choice). Should they not pick DeAndre Ayton last summer, national media would crush them into pieces.

2019 NBA Draft looks somehow similar to 2018 with one clear favorite, and that is not Ja or Garland.

So maybe lottery balls reward Suns with #2 pick. Once Zion is off the table, they will have more freedom of choice on 2019 NBA Draft.

if they get #1 pick it's obviously Zion. I'm talking about if they don't.

Ja seems like a clear choice for them. if Ayton doesn't have a PG that can consistently get him the ball in his spots he's pretty irrelevant as we saw last year in the tourny.

I would also look to trade Booker though tbh but that's another argument all together.

right now it looks like
Luka
JJJ
Kurucs
Carter
Young
Ayton
Bagley
M.Robinson
Huerter
Shamet

but there are a lot of injured players,
this is way too soon etc.
in 3 yrs if players begin to reach their potentials:
Luka
JJJ
Bagley
Sexton
Walker
Simons
SGA
Kurucs
Carter
Holiday

I still have Ayton as #1. He is putting up great numbers, even better than Doncic, but it is not Ayton's fault that Booker is a bad teammate and Ayton is only getting 10 touches a game.

what's there to hide? I never liked him as a long term prospect.
I will give him credit for showing enough floor general ability to stay in the league for awhile,
but I still have no delusions about him being anything more than he is right now going forward.
He won't ever be a good let alone league avg status as a defender, and that fact by itself
completely kills his chances of being the lead guard on a championship contender.
Add the proven struggle with his low release etc that made me hate him as a prospect in the first place.
If you are going to pick a pg prospect in the high lottery, I'd take the one farther away with less
ability but higher upside and better length, than the one I know will never reach a high level
on both sides of the ball.

Lots of guys have put up a big month of February especially Trae Young(has played more games than anyone else in Feb) and Marvin Bagley. Sexton has upped his PPG, but his efficiency still lacks a bit. Doncic has had a good month too, but he's played less games than anyone else. Knox continues to get the red light and still continues to struggle with his shot. SGA has played horrible extending to the last 2 months on offense now. Miles has been consistent this month. Mikal shows a ton of IQ on both ends, but he's been very limited as a scorer. Ayton still doesn't get enough touches on offense, and his defense is bad. Mo is rotting on the bench and looks like a bust right now. Jerome Robinson also looks like a bust..still puzzled on that draft pick by Jerry West. I had him graded as a 2nd rounder. Mitchell Robinson is the biggest steal of the draft.

1. Doncic
2. Young
3. Bagley
4. JJJ
5. Ayton
6. Mitchell Robinson
