I want to see people’s top 3 lists of best for Zion teams to win the lottery. And do a best for the NBA list if you want.
Best for Zion
1- Lakers
2- Charlotte
3- Phoenix
Best for NBA
1- New Orleans
2- Knicks
3- Lakers
Worst for Zion
1- Knicks
2- Hawks
3- Cavs
Worst for NBA
1- Cavs
2- Kings
3- Memphis
I think they’ll give the lottery to New Orleans. And that’s it’s 4 or 5th best spot for him anyway. Will work out great. I still hope Lakers or suns

Worst
1. Lakers - under the shadow of LeBron, media scrutiny. He needs some ball pounding duties to develop his ball skills.
2. Knicks - talents die here
3. Minnesota - dysfunctional franchise like the Knicks. Gonna live in the shadow of Towns for a year or two slowing down his development. Wiggins makes the team cap strapped for the next 4 years.

In what world is it best foe the NBA to have Zion end up in New Orleans? New York and LA are what is best for the NBA...obviously.

1. Dallas - I think this is by far the best case scenario for him. He goes to a team with 2 very good-elite young players, his game also fits very well with those guys as well.
2. Knicks - This one is completely projection, but I think Zion is a big enough factor that I think if he landed there, I could see the Knicks landing their big time free agents. Plus that market and Zion's marketability, that could be crazy. With that said, I cant blame anyone for having them very low for him.
3. Chicago - Another huge market when it comes to basketball players, I really like the young talent they have on that team as well. But the front office is definitely worrisome.

I cant see the scenario where New Orleans is the best for the NBA. Best for the NBA is NY, LA and Chicago. Also the Kings dont have a pick this year.

Surprised you have Atlanta on the Worst list - I think playing with Trae would be amazing for him (and both of them, they'd fit perfectly), plus the other young pieces in Collins and Huerter. That's what I'm rooting for if PHX doesn't get the top pick.

Well its dont take any analysis to simply say the Knicks suck therefore it's the worst place to go. Here I'll play. Any combination of events that happen for the Knicks will suck because they suck.....I'm a genius.
With that said I think Pheonix would be horrible for him. On paper he fits like a glove but in action they got a shot happy SG, no legitimate PG and a C whose declared he wants the damn ball. All within good reason as they have pretty good talent but my point is everybody thinks they are the alpha in Pheonix.
Dallas would probably be the best situation. Thier PG has the ball on a string and thier other go to player in KP actually enjoys not being featured and wants to spread out this opening up the middle for anything Zion wants to do.
As for my Knicks my little rant at the beginning is probably exactly what will happen unfortunately. Ive become a cynic myself but in terms of how her be treated he fits like a glove. Our current stud prospect is a C that only gets the ball on lobs and otherwise is a rim protector so Zion can have any opportunity he wants inside. The guards aren't good enough to steal opportunity from him. The biggest issue is our desire to think big in free agency which won't be good for Zion. A bunch of win now guys who have no patience to see him develop. Every Knick fan keeps harping on Durant and Kyrie with Zion. WTF is Zion supposed to be on a team with those players? Which is why if I drafted him I don't care about FA. Rather sell the cap space for more picks but that's just me.

He’ll be good anywhere. Whoever takes him will build their roster around him. IMO the ones with the most cap flexibility to build around him are the best places for him. But if I had to choose worst it would probably be the Suns and the Pelicans because both teams are run terribly.

Hawks have to be the #1 perfect option. On a team full of shooters, next to a tremendous playmaking PG in Tre, and fits a position of need for them.

Best;
1. Hawks - Solid young core (Collins, Young, Huerter) to space the floor, creating mismatches, and opening up driving lanes. Up-tempo style of play will make life easy for Zion on the break.
2. Dallas - All the same reasons as ATL (although I like the fit better in ATL, hence why I have them ahead of Dallas). Luka, Porzingis, Zion under the tutelage of Carlisle could be amazing on both end of the court.
3. Blazers - Home team bias and wishful thinking.

Dallas is a terrible spot for him. Why would he want to go somewhere and not be the clear cut #1 guy?

It’s if the nba thinks it’s a super important time for the teams to take the power back from the players. Turns New Orleans from a screwed franchise into a power. A small southern city is another factor. And western conference.

Actually Towns and Zion would be a great fit.

Dallas might be best for Zion. That frontline could be the greatest of all time. I already think Dallas is the best option for Kyrie. With a Doncic/Zion/Porzingis frontline how could he resist.
Does Dallas have the #1 pick protected if they win?if so I might switch my prediction from Orleans to Dallas

Best for Zion is Memphis. Jaren Jackson Jr & Zion Williamson would dominate NBA frontlines for the next decade. He'd have a good chance of winning rings.
Worst is probably Chicago just from a standpoint of he'd take Markkanen's spot or force him over to C pushing Wendell Carter Jr to backup status or trade bait. It's not really a bad thing per se, it would just force some personnel decisions to be made.

Not Zion wants to win. Towns does not fit with Zion skill wise. Zion needs floor spacers. Same for Towns. Both also need a PG that the Wolves don't actually have.
Wiggins cripples the Wolves' cap so there is 0 way for Zion to win during his rookie contract.
Treadmilling 5 years with Towns + Wiggins is not a fun thing.

Towns gives Zion one of the best three point shooters at the five (40%+) which Zion could really use. Defending both would be a nightmare for opponents.
Building a winning team with two top 15 talents really isnt that hard even with wiggins contract. The bolded part is just hyperbole.
