Me too, but it hasn't been anywhere near as active as last year's class.. which shows how people view both.

There’s a rumor you occasionally pee in bed.

In addition to this class being light at the top, there was a lot of discussion about the top 6 picks last year, and the top 4 specifically. This year, we already know the top 3 and the 4th pick is to a team chasing AD so we can't really speculate what that team would desire.

If I'm the Hawks, I don't let Sekou get pass 8. Redd, Hunter or Goga should still be there at 10.

Maybe I'm just a sucker, but Sekou's workouts look really good. Shot looks really good and has an extra level of fluidity/athleticism than I'm not sure someone like Hunter quite possesses. Maybe the upside is indeed quite high.

to me Sekou's length and lack of hand size is an issue, he is rarely in control of the ball and I am not sure if he can really create, I do buy the shot, but his upside isn't really higher than Hunter's, he is more natural as an athlete but also very raw
I am not seeing quite high upside whatsoever, for neither

Me too. And it's not just his shooting. The previous scouting reports all said his ball-handling is a problem, but he was handling the ball on a string in the drills - with really quick hands for a big. Several years back, Washington had an under-achieving big named Andray Blatche. He could handle the ball like a 3, but he didn't have quick hands, so his ball-handling plus became a minus in the NBA. Sekou also has a lot more wiggle in his drives than given credit for - he's not just a straight-ahead to the hoop player as advertized. He did have a high turnover rate, but how much of that was him being so young in an advanced league? - he started the season at 17, won't turn 19 till December.
Btw, I see his wingspan is 6'11, but what's his standing reach? Imo, that's more important than wingspan for a PF.

his handling is a problem, and it looked problematic in those drills, he has issues controlling the ball both when handling and when he brings it up, it has to do with his inability to get low+small hands+lack of length

If you are a team that won't be competing anytime soon and can invest in and be patient with his development then there are very few players in this draft with a higher ceiling.

Interesting perspective on top 3 HS prospects who fell by the draft (think Little, Reddish). No big successes here but a few are ok.

Sekou's shot looks effortless with great arc. Impressive.
